I gave this 3 stars because I love Brazil nuts, but these were not "premium quality delivered fresh" as advertised on the bag. I paid $35 and about 1/3 of the bag was rotten or stale. I understand that with produce there is some of this to be expected, but it was more than just a couple of nuts. I will buy them again just because I can't find them around here, but I was disappointed.

They were definitely not fresh or crisp, but only a few were actually rancid or stale. Only one was completely rotten and it had a big hole in the shell. If they were shelled I'd give them an average rating for a shelled quality brazil nut. Given the effort of having to dig the nut out, it should have the quality of an in shell brazil nut. I just got some shelled brazil nuts from bulk at Whole Foods, and they were definitely superior. I definitely wouldn't buy these again.My batch was actually from Bolivia, not Brazil which is what it says on the bag on this product page. I don't know if the quality of Brazil nuts varies by country of origin or not, though.

These are by far the freshest Brazil nuts that I've ever tasted. When you compare the cost to "shelled" Brazil nuts, obviously these cost more. But after hearing how much fresher they are in the shell and eating these, I don't know if I can ever go back to shelled.

Ok so I had been reading the bad reviews. I understand, I had 2 or 3 bad ones and the tast was pretty disgusting but I have to say that The rest were y fresh delicious and worth a second chance if you had bad experience. Keep them in the freezer for better freshness

Some of the nuts are rancid but it may be only 5% of the total. Great product, will buy again.

Not the best I have ever purchased but that is how it goes with Brazil nuts. Most of them did taste old but some were good.

Very disappointed! These were the poorest quality I’ve ever had with a purchase of nuts through Amazon. I tried in shell this time because the last time I purchased shelled Brazil nuts they were also unsatisfactory. High proportion of stale nuts: poor texture to the meat, sour even wormy taste. Some brown, rancid. Is there a problem with Brazil nuts? Found no option to contact the seller. Complete waste of too much money. If I could give < one star I would.
