MAJOR AMAZON FAILURE!!!
I received the human touch zero gravity chair FRAME WITHOUT THE LEATHER UPHOLSTERY!! After 20 days of customer service failures, I tracked the leather upholstery which was finally shipped by human touch via FED X to an AMAZON wharehouse in Aberdene, MD...it was signed for by Amazon employee A. FLORES. NOBODY at Amazon customer service has been able to contact MR FLORES to find out what in the hell happened to my package containing the LEATHER UPHOLSTERY!! So I finally disputed the $2932 charge with DiscoverCard and surprise!! I was then contacted by AMAZON to determine what was the problem!? I told them to read my extensive customer service file and they would "discover" what I have been dealing with for the past 30 days

Good quality. Large size - width. Length - too short.
The quality is nice and I like the style. We were using the zero gravity outdoor chairs inside our home and wanted a better-built chair for the TV room. Everything is fine except -- it is VERY difficult to bring yourself down from the reclining position. You have to swing your legs down, fiercely, in order to get the motion started for the chair to go back to a sitting position. And, the sitting position is not very comfortable at all. You will only find comfort when reclining, unlike the cheap, zero gravity garden reclining chairs. If I had known the difficulty to come back to a sitting position in order to step away from the chair, I would not have purchased. This design flaw is not good for most folks.

Takes ALL the pressure off your spinal column, but don't buy until you've tried.
Yeah, it's a lot of money. So my first piece of advice would be don't buy it until you've tried one. My sister has had this same chair for 20 years and I hog it every time I visit, so I knew what I would be getting. Valencia Seating (the seller I bought from) provided curbside delivery - if you need "white glove" be sure you've paid for it. It took my husband 30 minutes to assemble, screwdriver was provided, and assembly was very straightforward - mostly placing the pads. If you are going to assemble you need to be able to get on the floor, etc.TRY BEFORE YOU BUY - here's why. If you have long legs, your feet will hang off the end. I am 5'8" and my feet hang off right at the Achilles tendon, which I KNEW, because I'd tried it. I have to put a thick fleece blanket at the edge (easier than it sounds) to pad that area to get the PERFECT PERFECT fit. I have never sat in such a wonderful chair! The leather is gorgeous (I got the top grain leather in red, which is a matte, pebbly look). This is not a soft cushy chair, the padding is quite thin. And it isn't pretty from behind - the black canvas shows as does some of the metal. But it doesn't need to be soft if your back hurts. I am recovering from a ruptured disk and NOTHING is comfortable except this chair. Here's another thing you need to know - it isn't automated. You have to use your body weight to push it back, and again to bring it forward. It takes some work, in other words - not much, but some. If you need your feet elevated above your heart, this is great. Like a dentist's chair without the evil dentist sticking pointy tools into your mouth. My sister had had several surgeries on her feet and this is what she recovers in. So - it is a GREAT chair and was worth the high cost to me, but I knew exactly what I was getting, and you should too. If you buy directly from the manufacturer you will pay a lot more but you'll have an in-home trial period. Because I have used this exact chair many times, I felt very safe buying it via Amazon Marketplace.

THE ULTIMATE IN COMFORT!
AFTER experiencing the cool comfort of REAL breathable genuine leather I could never go back to the 'faux' leathers that cause your back to get hot and sweaty, then start deteriorating and flaking within a few years! ~ My entire living room set is all of Italian leather which I bought over 30 years ago and STILL looks as good as new, retaining its superb comfort level. ~ One thing about REAL leather is that the older it gets the BETTER it looks with age!YES, this fine chair is expensive, BUT, in the long run it will pay for itself in luxurious comfort and years of durability! ~ I decided that at 74 WHY should I settle for less comfort?!I would give this chair 10 stars, if available, for the great craftsmanship and fine quality of materials used in its construction!This chair comes in TWO boxes, the heaviest being the wooden base and the second box containing the leather padding.FOLLOW instructions closely and you will have it assembled within an hour. A rubber mallet came in handy in installing the front leg frame.ONLY PROBLEM I encountered was with the trucking company that caused a major delay in delivery, but the problem was resolved by Amazon's great customer service!

It’s a steep price, but worth every penny.
Very hesitant to buy, due to cost. But, LOVE this chair! It has been truly helpful for back/leg pain and I can sit (and work with laptop tray) for hours. I would give 5 stars, but am forced to settle for only 4 due to cracked/splitting wood on back piece. I will be reaching out to Human Touch for replacement piece after I post this. My expectation is that it will be replaced without much pain. If true, company/chair truly deserve the full 5 stars, in which case I will bump up the star count.

I am amazed at how my lower back pain has improved
I am amazed at how my lower back pain has improved! I am pain free when I get up in the morning for the first time in years. I am disappointed with the aesthetics, however. The back of the chair is leather a third of the way down, then there is a black canvas material, and a mechanical devise that can be seen. I was not able place the chair with the back showing as planned.

very hard to adjust & customer services will not respond
This chair will trap you if you put it in zero gravity mode.. It is very hard to operate and I think you can do much better for the money.. We reached out to customer support for help and they did not respond.. Do not get ripped off buying this chair as we did.... ps.. we have had to re snap the cable 2 times after it locked us in zero gravity !

The unicorn chair for back pain!!
I absolutely love this chair. My back feels 100% percent better. Complete serenity when I recline in this chair. The mechanical device to recline the chair is little awkward getting used to in the beginning. I know this chair has a steep price tag, but in my opinion you can't put a price on back pain. It's worth every penny.
