My husband is so allergic to cat. He’s off the charts allergic. Our kids gave us a couch to put in the basement of a vacation home and forgot that a former roommate had a cat in the apartment where the couch had been used. My husband couldn’t be in the basement. I found the spray, gave a good vacuuming and he can now sit on the couch. Saved us from needing to buy a new couch.

Total life saver! I wish I found this sooner and jumped on it sooner rather than letting the negative reviews deter me. Let me just say I was SUPER hesitant to purchase this after seeing some of the reviews stating it smelled awful and like chlorine. I currently have a condition called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, in which I am hyper sensitive and reactive to chemicals, smells, and other triggers. With the wrong smell or chemical I can lose consciousness, have tremors, have my throat close. When people where perfume or cologne I get heart palpitations, get dizzy, get double vision, and can faint and they don’t even need to be directly next to me! (Febreeze is by far the worst) So, as you can imagine reading those reviews made it a huge gamble for me. I needed this because after getting new all natural wool carpets, they were shedding a lot and something was causing rashes and making me not feel well in addition my dogs were getting extremely itchy on the carpets. Spraying all of the upholstery with an anti-allergen spray seemed like an amazing find. When the product arrived I hesitantly opened the bottle. To my surprise, ZERO SMELL! After saturating the carpets and my couch and waiting for it to dry, a slight smell started to develop. I can absolutely see why it could be confused with chlorine, but it definitely IS NOT chlorine. I believe it is the solutions reacting with allergens and destroying them and creating this slight smell in the process because the liquid itself has absolutely no scent. When your first spray it, there’s no scent. It’s only after it sits for a while and starts to dry. Once dry I vacuumed everything thoroughly as it stated. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. The next day I noticed my dogs were itching less, I started to feel a little better, my rashes were less. It was amazing. It says you can use every 30 days for maintenance, but my house gets dusty really quickly between the location next to a highway, being near the ocean, and having multiple dogs - I find I need to use it more frequently. And it goes quickly! About 3/4 of the bottle was used on 2 8x10 rugs, 2 entry way rugs, a large sectional couch, and 2 upholstered chairs. I also bought two other similar sprays; both all natural. One, a certified organic 100% all natural, plant based (third party tested) anti allergen spray for comparison. With that brand, you pay more for a little less and you don’t need to vacuum after. Guess what! They spray had the SAME EXACT SMELL after spraying things and letting it sit for a while. So there is no way the reviews that state there is definitely chlorine and chemicals in this are accurate. Anyone suffering from allergies or an unknown trigger in a known mold free clean environment or even dusty areas and dust mites....this product is a LIFE SAVER!!! I even told my doctor about this spray to recommend to others who have difficulty keeping their homes clean enough to not trigger histamine reactions. This definitely helps!Pros:- ZERO smell- No chemicals- safe for humans and pets with sensitivities- quickly gets rid of allergy triggers- less expensive than other similar productsCons:- after saturating fabric a very very slight smell develops that can linger (but doesn’t seem to trigger any reactions)- you have to vacuum after otherwise it doesn’t work- doesn’t say it is usable on non-fabric surfaces (although some state success in wiping walls and dusting surfaces with it)- solution goes quickly for an expensive bottleIf you’re going to buy and use this product. Buying the bigger refill bottle is worth it more than to keep buying and replacing the spray bottle (which is what I initially did)

With overwhelming positive remarks, I am trying this product. I have some allergies, including dust and animal dander, and am using numerous means to keep them in control since some reported they can now have or keep cats because they use it.This product is new to me and, over the next month, I am recording ease of breathing and ambient environmental/residential issues.I applied the initial application on 9/18/14. The bottle states to re-apply every 30 days and discard the unused remainder after 6 months - probably because its efficacy is reduced after the seal is broken, via oxidization or the half-life renders it ineffectual. There is, however, no expiration date printed on the bottle I had seen.The bottle indicates "safe for pets", I have parrots, and it makes no mention of special care for them while applying -- just mist until carpet is damp (but don't saturate) and wait to dry. I did not spray in the parrots' area, so I'm hoping this product is safe for them as, powder or mist, fumes will travel. So far, the parrots appear unfazed. As the instructions clearly outlined, I did not spray on or at the animals or pets, which sounds silly as numerous proper pet shower liquids already exist, but it makes sense they'd put on the disclaimer just to be safe - people could misconstrue this spray as a shower/bath substitute.I've personally had no problems either, with the strange odor. I'm allergic to a lot of things and have asthma, but have had no ill effects from this spray's scent so far. This does not mean others won't have problems or be sensitive, so if need be open the windows or go out for dinner, then come back and vacuum after an hour or two.Check back in 4 weeks for an update! I'm hoping this stuff works as well as others have said. I bet the product works well for most, though nothing is 100% perfect. So far, no issues!(Apologies for forgetting to update this sooner, which is a good sign because this solution really does work! If it hadn't I'd have been been quick to update.)

This stuff is great! I spray it on my grandkids clothes when they come to visit me, before they enter the house. They have a cat and I am very allergic to cats and this stuff makes all the difference to enjoying my time with them. I also spray it on my furniture when they leave. There is no smell and it has not stained anything I sprayed it on. For hard surfaces, I spray and then wipe it off with paper towels.I have tried other similar sprays which did nothing. But this brand is worth it's weight in gold. Don't be afraid to try it. I have also used it to get rid of those funky smells in old vehicles, too.
