Aphrodite Sweetshrub from Proven Winners is a new, improved calycanthus with bright red magnolia-like flowers with a fragrant, sweet, apple-like scent. It reblooms and has nice, glossy foliage, too.

Healthy, good sized plant, good packaging
My plant arrived a good size and showing signs of new growth. A few brown edges to a few of the leaves, and soil a bit messed up, but to be expected when travelling through the mail. Within days of good care, the new leaves were growing and the plant thriving. This variety is impossible imho to find anywhere, so I took a chance online. Happy I did. I've had the plant a few weeks now and it has grown considerably. Great, affordable purchase.UPDATE 2 YEARS ON: Had lovely flowers for the first time this year. Worth the wait. Plant is about 4.5' , healthy and trouble free in zone 6. Lovely plant.

Arrived healthy and is thriving
I was a bit skeptical about ordering plants online, but due to the Covid-19 circumstances this spring, I thought I give it a try. I received notification about shipping so that I could plan for its arrival, and it did arrive on time and was well protected in its packaging. I immediately took it out, put it in the shade on my patio, watered it and let it rest there for 2 days before I planted it in the ground in the backyard. It is growing nicely, and looks like it is getting buds for its first bloom.

Wasn't packaged well
It is a nice size plant but it wasn't packaged very well so the leaves are all damaged at the top. Could've easily been much better if they would've put some thought in the packaging. The plant is a nice size and looks healthy
