Good tip
I was using a needle tip which was much to small for the boards I was soldering. This is the perfect size and has been put to good use. It seems well made, tins easily and will hopefully last for a while.

Good soldering tip for SMD work.
This 0.8mm tip works very well with my new Hakko FX888D. It keeps a tin very nicely.

great little tip
Great at precision soldering. But as mentioned, the fine tip doesn't hold heat well so use thin solder and higher heat.

Costs a little more but worth the money spent
I have never had a Hakko tip not perform as I expected, off brand tips cost a few dollars less but the overall quality and consistent performance of Hakko tips works for me.

Expensive but.
It works perfect for small guage bodges, had to crank the temp up to max on my hakko and use flux. It works for soldering to small pads that have thermal relief (i.e not ground pads or copper pours)

Does not hold the temperature well at the very end ...
Does not hold the temperature well at the very end of the tip. You still have to use the side of the tip so that you do not get a cold solder joint.

Efficient and percise
The tool to use for high precision soldering.

Tiny tip, tiny heat
High quality but just beware that the actual tip does not hold heat very well since it is very small. Tiny parts should require tiny heat so don't expect to solder a tiny part to a large surface area, it will NOT work.
