The fan seems fine once assembled but I am sceptical about the authenticity of the 5 star reviews which don't mention the amount of DIY required. I would expect this of a much cheaper fan and I suspect there are fans of a similar type available for half the price. You need two different sized screwdrivers and extremely good eyesight to see the diagrams, which are blurred and tiny. The screw and nut under the fan casing are very small and you need nimble fingers to fix these. There is no mention of aligning the rubber cord protector before you snap the base into place and it's difficult to get into position afterwards. I can't see anything obvious on Amazon's description about assembling this yourself. Fortunately it wasn't a major problem for me but other people may not be able or willing to put this together for themselves.

Arrived quickly, well packaged and once assembled (few minutes) kept us cool during recent hot spell, We have only needed to use it on the lowest setting so far and this is the quietest fan we have had. Depending on how a light a sleeper you are, I think it's suitable to use in a bedroom.

Very pleased with this fan. Wanted it for the bedroom and found it nice and quiet. Easy to assemble and a good price. Would buy again.
