Ordered this for 2 year-old sibling of 8 & 10 yr. old equestrians to take to competition to help keep her occupied. I was counting on cute illustrations and the usual “ Seuss” style narrative. Got that and more! Book has quite a bit of truly informative horse related information that even the older sisters enjoyed it. A nice surprise!

What kid doesn’t love Dr Suess’ rhymes? Our little ones are very involved in the family horse breeding business. A surprising amount of factual information in these pages regarding such things as color genetics! Kids learn easily when topics are presented in a really fun manner! Our 5 yr old simply adores this book and the 8 yr old loves reading it to her. I’m back to buy several more, fabulous gifts for riding students. Hope this helped a bit with your shopping decision!

The Cat in the Hat Learning Library books are fantastic! Each book is incredibly educational while also being fun and engaging. It’s a winning combination. I can not recommend them highly enough. We have bought nearly all of the books. Even though my younger daughter has aged past them, she insists we keep buying them and will not part with them. This is a bit of a bone of contention in my house, because my older daughter teaches and wants them in her classroom. I breed and show horses....always looking for kids horsey books now that I'm a grandmother. This one was perfect and we all read it out loud even before showing it to my grandson. Reads just like a classical Dr Seuss book, and horse lovers will enjoy it. Very educational and accurate of colors, breeds, etc.

I love this book, i train horses.. everything is accurate. And its cute.

My toddler loves Dr. S and horses so this book was perfect for them. Surprisingly very education. Purchased used on Amazon and it was near perfect quality.

Combining Dr. Seuss and horses is a win-win situation. This is a fun book, excellent illustrations and a hit with children.

I liked the book ok, but the title doesn't reflect the content of the book. I thought the book would be about how someone thought a horse show should be run. No. It was just about different horse breeds and colors. A really cute book for kids, but wrong title.

Nothing to dislike.

Considering this is for children it is surprisingly detailed. I bought this for my 2 year old expecting it to be more basic but the language is better suited for my 5 year old.

This is a cute book, but it doesn't have much to do with horse shows.
