Goldilocks Sweet Delights Philippine Shortbread Cookies (Peanut, 2 Pack)

Oof, I don't know if these always taste this bad or if I got a bad batch but these went straight into the trash. I ordered a couple bags of assorted polvorons and this box of pinipig flavour because pinipig is my favourite. Compared to the slightly bigger, circular polvoron cookies that come in bags, the smaller, oval polvorons were inedible. They are both Goldilocks brand so I don't really understand what the difference is exactly, but there definitely is one. I'm so glad I had the circular bagged cookies before I'd had these little oval, boxed ones. Otherwise I might have thought they're all bad... I don't even know what the difference is exactly... The texture of the cookies that come in the bag is a little smoother and crispier than these little box cookies, but mostly these ones just have a very strange, unpleasant flavour and aftertaste. Pinipig is my favourite too, so it was a big disappointment.. I'll be sticking to the assorted flavours in the bags instead of these boxes of cookies from now on. They are much much better

I’m kinda new to the ube thing but my friends have gotten me into it and I’m now OBSESSED! I have had a lighter, smaller version of this and I’m VERY impressed with this product. The first thing I noticed was how heavy the package was! It’s a “shortbread” version so it’s heavier but even so it becomes light and fluffy in your mouth, and the flavor is just like the other I’ve had. They are singularly packaged and are much bigger than I expected (I guess I just didn’t pay too much attention when I bought them) and am thoroughly impressed. (It was also very well packaged, the dents in it are just from me trying to open it and a piece is missing because I couldn’t resist trying to before I took a picture)

Goldilocks makes great shortbread. I've tried a number of varieties and never been disappointed. While the ube (purple sweet potato) is my favorite, pinipig is a close second. It's like rice krispies got turned into a toffee, then got mixed up in the shortbread batter. It's malty, toothsome, and very satisfying.These are individually wrapped, which might not be great for the environment but it does mean that they have a long shelf life. My household has been using them as small, relatively healthy desserts during the Covid-19 lockdown, and they really have made our lives better. If you are looking for a new sweet to try out, I highly recommend it! (But make sure to get the ube too.)

VERY VERY addictive!!! I got some of these in my Univeral Yums box (a box full of treats from another country each month. This time it was the Philippines.) These were one of my favorites. I had to order more of these!

I have been a huge fan of these polvoron cookies since I first tried them; I even put in an order directly from Goldilocks themselves. Unfortunately, to place an order from them to have shipped to you, the minimum amount is $50. That's when I found these on Amazon. I must admit, I wasn't thrilled about the price, but I loved the round ones, and these are called the same, even my favorite flavor. Cut to the day I receive my package and open my box. I noticed a faint chemical-like odor upon opening the box and just shrugged it off thinking it was the plastic they were each wrapped in. So i try one. I was definitely not expecting that flavor. There was very little flavor and it definitely did not taste like the round assorted 15 pack that i ordered directly from Goldilocks. That 15 pack barely lasted a week, these cookies i ordered here, they are not even remotely delicious. Is this a different recipe? Or a different "type" of povloron that goldilocks makes? I just know I cannot eat anymore. I ate the whole cookie and felt slightly nauseous after. I'm seeing other reviews saying the same thing. Did i miss something in the description? Why do these taste like the completely sugar-less version of the others that I got??

These cookies are very dense (which I like). They almost taste like popcorn to me LOL. My family was half and half on liking them or not. It comes down to preference. Mostly, the flavor was approved by all, but most were thrown off by the dense and crumbly texture. LOVE these and will be buying again! such a fun snack. (i think it is worth noting that there are 12 of us in my family - 4 loved them - 4 liked them but were not keen about the texture - 3 were indifferent, said "it's a cookie" - and 1 hated them)

They taste great. You get 12 in a little box. IMHO It would have been cheaper to buy a dozen of Krispy Kreme glazed donuts $7.99, save some money and have better satisfaction. I'm glad I tried them but I wouldn't buy them again.
