I can't think of any negatives but they are nice with the side pockets and a small flap at the top to hold your papers.

As a homeschool family we try to catch deals on supplies. Usually that meant purchasing the super cheap flimsy paper pocket folders. Those only last a short time before showing horrible wear and tear, and even falling out of a binder. We decided that buying these AMAZING plastic, 3 hole, pocket folders would be the most cost effective, with the hopes of not having to buy more folders all the time. I jazzed up my 6th grader's folders with each subject using my cricut machine. These are super thick material, the colors are vibrant and the insides even have a flap at the top to help hold papers in better too!

So far these holding up well at elementary school.

My middle schooler was ripping through her folders like she was storing saw blades in them! These are the first folders that have survived more than a week (and they aren't showing any signs of wear yet.) They have a pocket on both sides. The inside edge is open, which makes it easier to put paper in and take it out, but it also makes it more likely small notes or index cards would fall out. At the top, each side has a little fold that can go over the paper's edge. I haven't seen that before, but I'm not really a folder connoisseur. I don't think my daughter takes advantage of that, but I can see how it's a nice feature for keeping the pages from falling out if (when) she drops the folder. Live and learn ;-)

I love all the different colors. Currently I'm taking 5 college classes, so I needed some organization in my life. I love that they are plastic and durable. I can put my sticky notes on them as the weeks go by for my assignments. I will order again if I need more. I'll probably end up ordering more for my adult children when they go back to school too. Thank you.

Again like binders... kids go through them. Buy in bulk for kids for school. It seems like more money spent but stretch it for the years they are in school and it's less money in the long run. These are pretty sturdy and work well for keeping assignments due or to be done separate from other work.
