Awesome for clean water
Perfect for my 6 Barred Rock pullets. They weren't real sure what to make of it at first. I had to hit the yellow thing for the first 2 days, so they knew that water was there. On day 3, they went for the tiny bit of water, accidentally nudged the yellow thing and boom! After 2 weeks, they are all happily drinking from it and I am happily NOT changing their water every 2 hours from filth.

The girls really like this cup.
I thought it would be harder to get my chickens to use this but as soon as I filled the cup with my finger they started to drink from it. I installed mine on 2 different PVC waterers, one inside the coop and one outside. You will have to turn the cup and and clean out the stuff that settles at the bottom every once in a while, but it's still less maintenance that every other waterer. I recommend to everyone with chickens.

Tip
This is more of a tip than a review. I could not find an adapter for standard pvc. Luckily I know by making shop-vac adapters pvc molds easily when heated. So I used 1/2” pvc caps drilled a 23/64 hole in each, then heated the hole with a lighter and lightly threaded it in to create an adapter.

The perfect solution
These are the perfect solution to providing water for my chickens. The gravity waterers leak if they do not hang level. They can get bumped and make a mess. If you don't hang them, the chickens kick litter and poo in them. I do not think that all my chickens used the nipple-type waterer (maybe they did, but I couldn't be certain). The watering cups replace the little nipple things. They fit in buckets with side holes or bottom holes. I've ordered another set.

Wanted to be safe rather than wait for cups that were not included eith the drinker.
I ordered these because so many reviews reported that they did not get the cups with the drinker. I did get the cups with the drinker, however my hens just didn't get the concept. So I bought the Rentacoop automatic drinker cups. See that review.

Love Harris Farms
I have liked all the Harris Farms items I have gotten for my small farm. They are good quality. They are however a little pricey.

Stay tuned
Just installed these guys. And the temp dropped down to minus 9. We have them on a rain barrel that has a water heater in it so far they have performed amazingly. Haven’t frozen up. No leaking. No issues. The ones we replaced these with were the ones that fill and tip up to refill. They were too delicate for our wwf hens. Always unhinged and flooding our coop. Or frozen in winter. 😡 those were too fustrating. These are great. We are living in Canada. We will see what happens when the weather gets even colder. Stay tuned.

Do not work
I did not get around to using these for a while and missed my return window or I would have sent them back. They are actually made of good quality plastic and packaged well. The lack a nut which is needed to help prevent leeks. They just don't function well. My chicks are not triggering any refill when they drink. I press the yellow lever to the bottom when I go into the hen house and the cups fill with water but when I return they are always empty. It was a good idea but don't waste your money.

Perfect, buy this instead of the chicken nipple drinkers
It took some time for my birds to learn how to use this but once they got the hang of it, I'm so glad I have it. Stops a huge amount of mess you get when using the vertical chicken nipple drippers. This keeps the water in the cup and off my floor! Great product and I will buy again when I need more

It was a good buy, my quails figured out how to use ...
The media could not be loaded. It was a good buy, my quails figured out how to use it right away. I'll be ordering more to install in my chicken coops.*Update* I attach the cups to water bottles, and use it in my chick and duckling brooders. Works very well, they catch on to it right away, and way less mess to deal with.

They work okay with some trial and error
These work okay but have a tendency over time to start leaking. They also have to be place higher on the bucket than other styles.
