The package and website for Vegeta offer a lot of creative uses for their powdered seasoning, but the application I was most interested in was for making soups. I remembered how incredible my grandma's dishes were and was finally able to recreate similar tastes. If you're making soup stock by simmering for a long period (chicken, ham bone, etc. with vegetables, spices, etc.) add a table spoon per 2 quarts. Vegeta also recommends using it as a rub. It doesn't take much. There is no MSG, but there are similar derivatives - if this concerns you, you're overhyping things.

Just simply the most wonderful flavoring you can add to potatoes, rice, vegetables... even meat and sauces. I haven't tried it on fish, but it should be excellent. It is surprisingly affordable; there's over a pound in the package. Unlike some other vegetable flavorings, this product contains visible, real dehydrated vegetable bits in addition to the usual salt and anti-caking agents. Interestingly, it is made in Croatia, and has been used in Europe for many years. I highly suggest you try this next time you make a soup or want to brighten up a salad.

I like this seasoning blend a lot. I live in Alaska and this season blend is very good on fresh salmon befor baking or sautéing. It’s a bit heavy on the salt, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of five. Some reviewers have said it contains no salt, but salt is listed on the list of ingredients. This mistake could be dangerous for someone on a low salt diet due to medical reason.

As someone born and raised in the former Soviet Union, I gotta have my Vegeta fix! I grew up watching my Grandmother and Mother cook "everything" with Vegeta and, of course, I inherited the tradition. My only regret used to be that it contained MSG (but I still used it anyway). And now that it comes in the "No MSG" variety - it's a no-brainer! Give it a try, and it may just become your "secret ingredient".

I was initially introduced to this product from an incredible woman, and an outstanding cook; she hails from Lithuania where I’m told this incredible, gourmet spice combination (Vegeta), is often used; I’ve since learned, and ordered it without MSG, and that was a great choice by the company, and for me personally. I use Vegeta on just about everything, from eggs, sauces, soups, stews, steaks, salads, vegetables, and ice cream - lol just kidding about the ice cream. Vegeta, has been a big hit with all my guests and friends when I do the chef thing. Its flavor enhancing abilities make it a preferred spice in my home. Thank you Ilona and Vegeta for a great experience.

Love it, using it for years. Use it instead of salt.Especially invaluable in vegetable soups made without the chicken or beef broth and no vegetable broth is available.Also good in stews. However, remember it needs to be dissolved. If you intend to use it in frying dissolve it in a little amount of water and add to your cooking. Water will evaporate and taste will be added to your food.Just make sure you buy with "no MSG" if you concerned about it.

I use this in pretty much everything I cook for added flavor, especially meats & soups!! Gives it more of a kick, not spicy, just more rich. I've purchased it for several family members & recommend it 100%.

My favorite seasoning. Works on everything from meat to vegetables to soups, and it has no fat either, and especially no MSG

This is hard to find in this area. Purchased as a gift for someone who likes this seasoning.

Love the flavor not the salt, this would be a fabulous spice if they used less salt and used only sea salt instead.....I wouldn't buy it again.
