These bulbs could save a life, therefore they are a wise investment.I bought one for my camper van, which has a huge rear blind spot. In just minutes I unscrewed one of the rear light fixtures on my Ford E-350 camper van and replaced the incandescent bulb with this product. It's a bayonet socket, and the switch took only seconds. The overall process took about 15 minutes.Now, whenever I'm in reverse, there is a periodic, high-pitched beeping. It is not terribly loud, but it should certainly get the attention of any human or animal that might be in the way of your vehicle as it backs up.I feel much more secure with this automatic beeping. I used to beep my horn 3 times as I began to back up, but this is much better as it is automatic, distinctive, and continuous.And there's a benefit to you, the driver: You'll always know that you're in the reverse gear! Have you ever backed up your car to talk to a neighbor and held you foot on the brake while you talk? It's possible to forget you're in reverse. But not with this product....the continuous beeping won't let your forget.Halogen bulbs cannot handle finger grease, so install this product with a gloved hand or at least a cloth over the bulb. (They used a halogen bulb because it's small and left room to put both a bulb and beeper in the space formerly occupied by just the standard incandescent bulb.)

As a Doordash driver, having added assurance that I'm noticed backing up is very important to me. This after-market product did the trick. The dealership wouldn't put them in, although their parts department helped me identify which shape bulb my Nissan would take (the round one). Found a mechanic to put them in($99 - too high?!, but I wanted them ASAP).

I lacked a backup camera for my RV and found this little gem. It was cheap and easy to install, giving me a little piece of mind when going in reverse. The only problem was that the light tripped my vehicle's sensors so the vehicle thinks the backup light is out.

Not dump truck loud. Just loud enough to annoy my insomniac neighbor when I back in to the driveway at 1 pm! Ha ha.

unfortunately, it does not fit into the receptacle in my Baja Subaru. I would love to return it, but no one has asny thing that fits.

It was very easy to install. Really turnkey, just like a bulb. It is not loud enough but better than no warning at all.

Though I would have preferred an LED light ratherthan the halogen - LED being faster, cooler andeasily as bright, I am a happy camper.
