Item supplied not what is advertised
The pictured fixing, 'Rawlplug 07-nnn' (the 'nnn' is a code for the quantity) is really great for very thin cavities behind plaster board. In fact I don't know of anything better. But the items delivered were not these. They were the 'Rawlplug DRA02', which is much too long for my purposes and I have returned them. Moreover, many other suppliers also advertise '07' Rawlplugs, with a similar picture, but on deeper investigation are actually supplying DRA02.I have been in correspondence with Rawlplug about this and it might be that they kept the same product code for a while, albeit redesigned, and retailers, including Amazon, have not updated their sales material. The good news is that Rawlplug is most probably, quite soon now, going to relaunch a product very similar to the old '07' item.Incidentally, I always drill a pilot hole first. Apart from making the initial entry of the plug easier, it locates it better.Rating it here is tricky, The advertised item is great: the item supplied is probably good for its application, but not what is advertised.

Standard Problems, but overall good
As my house is mostly plasterboard, I've used a lot of these types of fixings in the past. The key, I've found, is to make sure you pre-drill a small hole before screwing these in (also, be aware of the studs as these won't fare well!)That said, the end still has a habit of occasionally bending (rendering the fixing useless). In my opinion these seem a little longer than the ones I've used in the past, but I guess that just means a little added security.Overall, pretty happy with these! :)

Simple and strong
These are great fixings, I wouldn't use anything else in plasterboard. One word of caution however; they are 'selfdrill' but in certain situations you may want to pre-drill a small hole for them rather than relying on them to 'selfdrill'. This is just down to different plasterboard and whats on the surface, paint/wallpaper I think, as sometimes they can crack/bubble the plasterboard. So if you're unsure, drill first.I've used these to fix some really heavy stuff like big screen plasma TVs.Another good use that's not really mentioned is if you want to regularly screw / unscrew the fixings (I used it for a hidden safe!) As the threads don't wear out.

Awesome
Awesome as always. I tend to drill a 7mm pilot hole in the plasterboard. Used all 12 to hold a TV bracket to the wall to hang my 55” LG in the living room.Filled with confidence as always using genuine Rawlplug products.

Good quality plasterboard plugs
Having tried different brand plasterboard plugs in the past I thought I'd give rawlplug a try and I find that they were definitely off a superior quality and they screwed into the plasterboard easily and gave a very secure fix.I used them to fix window blinds, which are not very heavy to be faie, so i cannot vouch for very heavy stuff. Good quality product

Solid Construction Easy To Use
Well made easy to use, used to put up floating shelf onto plasterboard wall, no drilling required as they drill themselves home as you turn with screwdriver.

More expensive than similar products but worth it!
Despite the lack of official photos, these are the proper branded Rawlplug products. They are super easy to use and go straight into a plasterboard wall with a screwdriver and provide a really solid fitting.

Invaluable for plasterboard attachments
My preferred choice for attaching anything to plasterboard. I currently have a light bar in the kitchen suspended from four of these (the beams run in the wrong direction to mount it to these where I want it) and it is rock solid. As others have said, for best results drill a small lead hole, rather than relying on their self-tapping design.

Brilliant - easy to use and strong!
Bought this for hanging a coat rack in the hall. We abuse our coat hangers - hang coat after coat on it until they slide off! Far heavier than they are supposed to be - these have kept it hanging on a plasterboard wall without a problem. Easy to use and to fit - do the job nicely. One tip make sure the screw size that come with these is what you want - you cannot use different screws with them.

Absolute Rubbish
Absolute rubbish. Every one of these used failed completely, the ends snap and the threads shear off, no matter how slowly and carefully they are screwed into the plasterboard. Junk. Do not buy them.

Brilliant
These metal plasterboard fittings are simply the best and easiest that I have come accross. No need to drill the wall. Just mark the spot, screw in this fitting and it is job done.I had previously bought some similar fittings made from plastic but they twisted and warped out of shape and would not fully screw home.

But very useful. Still go for the plastic version for the ...
Need to be careful to choose the right size screw's for them, and to pilot hole in smaller plasterboard. But very useful. Still go for the plastic version for the most part though. Less risk of tearing the hole.
