Yibuy Golden Jazz B-flat Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece 7# w/PU Leather Cap

I don't know how they do it!! I have a bunch of these Yibuy tenor mouthpieces, #7s and #9s, both styles, and they all play great. They have a modern sound.. husky, edgy, and rich, but not shrill if you know what you're doing. I can hit any altissimo notes I want on any of them, just as easily on the #7s as on the #9s. Be aware that the openings on these mouthpieces do not correlate to the standard facings (on a Link, for instance), A #7 plays more like a #5, and a #9 plays more like a #6.. But even on the #7, I can dig in pretty hard, and I can hit the altissimo notes very well! In my opinion, these chinese mouthpieces are not really copies of anything.. They seem to have their own vibe, while attempting to look classic. By the way, the Ligature that came with this one is fantastic. It is like a Rovner, with 4 little snaps on the part that hits the reed. This is something I have never seen before, and it works great! If it holds together, I would almost say that the value of the ligature is worth the price you pay for the whole setup!!

Upper register was ok but could not play anything below low D. I would not recommend this product.

This is my favorite mouthpiece these days, and it sounds better than the Theo Wanne Datta Hard Rubber, the current Otto Link New York Metal 6*, and the Selmer S80C* just to name a few: I don't know how they did that, but obviously they copied a 'really good' high-end mouthpiece, and got it right. Very highly recommended!
