A great moisturizer
This product is great for dry hands or skin. I've been using it for a couple of years on my hands during the winter when my hands get chapped and dry. My hands get so chapped that they sometimes bleed. This is the best product I've found so far to moisturize my skin. It's very thick so I usually only use it at night before bed where I won't have to touch anything after I put it on.

The Best Cuticle Treatment Ever
SSS is such a wonderful product. Do NOT mistake this for a hand cream; it is not! It's initally very greasy and sticky to the touch(hello, its main ingredients are beeswax and lanolin!), but if used correctly it's a miracle in a jar. I apply this daily to my cuticles after soaking them in hot water and washing with a brush. Apply a little SSS and let it soak in; voila! Softness that lasts. Works the same on dry hands, dry cracked feet, etc. Thank you Jamark Labs for making such a fabulous product! I've tried most of the scents & I prefer Lavender to them all, but that's just my preference. It's a subtle scent yet so pleasant.

The Best
I've tried so many creams and ointments for the dry skin, rawness, and skin skin splitting open @ times associated with psoriasis on my fingers. Some help temporarily but never for any length of time. Surgeon's Skin Secret is wonderful. It's a great moisturizer for my hands, and I don't use the prescription cortisone cream as often now. My husband is using it for psoriasis on his feet and really likes it. I also use it as lip balm. I gave some to a friend who developed sensitivity around her mouth, and it worked like a charm, so I ordered it for her from Amazon.Surgeon's Skin Secret Beeswax is the only moisturizer I've found that actually soothes mine and my husband's psoriasis. And a little goes a long way. I'm thankful I continued to search Amazon for a product and took a chance with this.

Worth it!
I bought this when I was sleepily browsing for things with lavender in them. Normally, I'd never spend this much on this kind of product but my hands were so dry I was finding bloody spots and I tend to impulse buy when I'm tired. This is one of the best impulse buys I've made. No regrets.I've used moisturizers with beeswax and lanolin and they only made my hands sticky or greasy and didn't help with severe dryness. The Surgeon's Secret has some kind of magic. My hands had actually hurt because they were so dry. After one use, the pain was almost gone and my skin looked a little dry but not terribly so. I didn't get any more cracks. After a few days, my hands didn't show any signs of dryness. It's been a few weeks and I'm not even applying this every day. I haven't used any other lotion or balm, either.Because this stuff is so amazing, I scooped out some into a little tin (the kind often used for lip balm) and put it in my purse. Turns out, I rarely use it because I don't need to reapply regularly. I pretty much use it at night and not every day. If I notice dryness, I'll apply it and I'm good.I love the little scoop that comes with it. Makes it much easier to use.

IT WORKS!
I keep purchasing this product. I use this all year long - everyday from the end of fall to mid spring and then 2 or 3 times a week in summer. I have extremely dry skin on my hands and feet, so bad that they crack and bleed. This product is the ONLY one that keeps them moist enough that they don't crack. It puts a coating on the skin to protect it from water and air so that your skin doesn't dry out. I use the wax at night with a pair of socks on because it is very thick. My hands I wax with a thinner coat after my evening shower. This locks the moisture on the skin, from the shower in, thus protecting it from additional moisture, soap and whatever. Since I discovered this product a number of years ago, I don't have the sandpaper, bleeding hands and feet. My husband used to make fun of the greasy feel until it soaked into the skin, then he was diagnosed as a diabetic and he needed it. Again, it worked and he never made fun again. I recommend this to everyone who has a closet full of "super moisturizers" that don't work. GREAT PRODUCT

The lavender scent is stronger than I would like, a bit muskier than expected
I am very sensitive to most moisturizing additives (shea butter, cocoa butter and a few others), but have had positive results with lanolin. The simple list of ingredients (with lanolin) without other more exotic irritating "moisturizers" or additives are what attracted me to this product. The lavender scent is stronger than I would like, a bit muskier than expected. However, the product itself works well as a skin balm on irritated skin, cracked skin, and dry skin. It moisturizes skin, smooths the appearance of ashy dry skin and minor skin irritations, and keeps the moisture in for hours. It's also easy to apply with a light drag of the back of the fingernail across the moisturizer to loosen it from the jar, and then massaging in as one normally would a balm type lotion. The moisturizing effects of this product are instantaneous upon application, and the moisture stays for hours and doesn't easily wash off. It is incredibly difficult to remove from my palms when applying this stuff bare handed. I don't mind that aspect of the product as my hands are often very dry without some sort of moisturizer, and with this stuff I don't have to keep reapplying every few minutes. My skin doesn't crack in windy winter desert weather while wearing this product. It also soothes rough abraded skin after working with my hands, outdoor tasks in the weeds or fixit jobs- makes little skin scratches stop hurting too.It does feel a bit waxy on my skin when I put this stuff on, even after the product absorbs, but it is not an uncomfortable sensation. It doesn't feel greasy or slimy at all, and adds a little glisten to my skin where I applied it.The scent also lasts as long as the moisturizer, the aroma diminishes somewhat after a few minutes of application, but it lingers on. Unless you really like the muskier variety of lavender parfum, its not a good choice for lip or face balm. I would like to see a natural rose scented version of this product as I prefer that scent over lavender sometimes and would find it more inviting for facial use.Overall, this product works well and doesn't irritate my skin. I definitely recommend to dry skin sufferers.Disclosure: I paid full price for this product. I did NOT get any discount or other benefit for my fair and honest review. It really IS a good product. :)
