3 In 1 150W Charger Discharger
This is a very helpful device if you charged up your lipo pack and didn't get to use it and want to discharge it back to storage charge level, i.e., 3.8V per cell . Remember lipo batteries do not like to be stored at full charge---internal resistance will build up and eventually diminishing the performance of the packs. The blue control unit has settings for you to discharge to the level you want, also you can use it to balance your individual cells in the pack. The auto light bulbs will ensure the discharge is fast and efficient. That said, I was surprised that i could not completely drain the pack so I can dispose it safely, but it makes sense that one would not be able to do that. For safety the blue unit controls the bulbs and would not let you drain below a threshold. So the most probable use is to discharge to storage level, but not being able to use as a discharger to FULLY empty a pack. For info. how to dispose a lipo pack safely, please do a responsible research .

Worth the cost
Works really good at discharging batteries for storage, balancing them at the same time. Works fast until it gets down to ~.05V from target range, then takes a long time to finish (without the bulbs lighting). Sockets for plugging in are pretty tight. Accurate to .02V according to my quality multi-meter.I made a wooden platform, screwed bulbs upright, then used Velcro to mount components. Added extensions for S2 and S4 batteries in order to utilize LiPo pouches and makes for easier plugging/unplugging of batteries. Need to cover very hot bulbs with a screen material.I was even able to finally get one of my S4/5200 batteries in balance by charging then discharging 3 times, then wait for the final balance.

Handy gadget all lipo users should have!
This a super little gadget to quickly discharge and balance your full lipo packs when brought home from the field if you were unable to fly (or drive) them to storage state. You can tell the unit to what level to discharge to, I use 3.85. It burns the lights brightly as it brings down the lipo voltage fairly quickly about 15-20 min, then when it nears the programmed level, it continues to balance the cells just by heat discharge from the unit. When simply balancing, it finds the lowest cell voltage in the pack, and then discharges the other cells to that level. This balance mode does not use the bulbs, but just releases the energy as heat from the unit. This mode can take some time 30-90 min or more depending how far apart each cell is, but gets them all the same. Some guys on rcgoups have even put 2 or 3 in parallel to discharge faster if needed. Nice having this in my field box! Highly recommend so you don't have to worry about keeping fully loaded lipos lying around!

working fine then the discharge components stopped working after return date passed.
It worked fine for abit then the discharge side stopped working. The volt meter itself is still fine and works well, but the little black box to the 3 lights to discharge the lipo stopped working. Of course it stopped working after my return date passed...

excellent control of balance and Discharge. I have 4.
easy to use and get exactly the balanced storage discharge you need. see thingiverse for a nice case to organize it. I have 4.

Not a "bright" idea.
Doesn't work. The light bulbs do not illuminate in order to discharge the batteries.I can't tell if all three lights are bad (the filaments look OK but are small and difficult to see) or if the wires going from the component and leading to each light are not soldered good enough to make contact, or if the wire going from the charger/discharger is bad OR, if the charger/discharger itself is defective.Good thing I'm an Amazon Prime customer because I'm sending this back for a full refund.

Target voltage per cell innacurate 3-13%
I want to see something like this mFg'd with more precision and QcThis item worked great for about 2 weeks! Shortly thereafter the voltage reference started to fail. *PLEASE CHECK YOUR VOLTAGES AGAINST A KNOWN GOOD VOLTMETER OR LIPO CHECKER** For example if you plug in a 3s 4s or 6s cell and your current voltage is 3.92 per cell give or take 2% on avg. The target hobby discharge will report cell #2 at 3.79. Deviation is enough to discharge Cells and mis report target discharge rate. The differential isn't enough to cause any damage persay. But if you use this as a balance device and preset a voltage then it will certainly stop balancing when 1cell hits target voltage while the other cells remain higher.I put up a picture of being plugged into balancer in balance mode to 3.82 volts. I stopped operation and plugged into ISDT sc 620 (courtesy Crazy Pony) and took a picture. Unfortunately this can screw up your collection of Lipos if your consistently usingPlease check and check again. Unfortunately the devices from overseas are 3 out of 10 odds.Cheers

Worth the Purchase
A very excellent discharger with top notch customer service.I had a problem with this item, got in contact with customer service and it was resolved to more than my satisfaction. Does its job and a time saver. My only regret is I haven't seen it in 7s or 8s. I just hooked it to a 7s battery and am discharging it via a 4s connector and it took the higher current from that battery. My hats off for this item.
