Better Value/Bargain than the other listing
I was really hesitant about ordering this as to why the listing for this item has a combination of the NEEWER Microphone Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand AND Neewer NW(B-3) 6 inch Studio Microphone Mic Round Shape Wind Pop Filter Mask Shield with Stand Clip (Black Filter) included for a cheaper price than the arm alone! So basically, you're getting a free pop filter than buying them separately on Amazon - and cheaper! It seemed like a bargain to me, so I took the risk. I was really worried I was going to end up with some other generic brand/arm and not the Neewer products; however, I purchased from the seller "New Harbor" (I bet there would be some sellers on here that may end up sending you fake ones - it happens!) and both the arm and pop filter were Neewer brand retail boxes.I really wasn't sure about getting an arm was a good idea for my microphone - I mean, you get what you pay for, right? - so I imagined it would just actually take up more space and look awful; however, I was able to set the arm to rotate it in front of my computer screen and away when not in use. It has really made my setup feel more professional and practical than a table stand.I'm using it with an Aston Origin microphone (using the built-in screw instead of the mic mount) and it's holding up just fine. I'll update my review if I encounter any problems or if it breaks. Overall though, I'm happy with the purchase.

not because it is perfect, but for what you are paying
First of all, I don't want to be misleading here. I gave it 5 stars, not because it is perfect, but for what you are paying, it does what you expect it to. Of course professional grade mic stands are leaps and bounds better than this one, but this one is $13 with a pop screen, which makes it worth it all by itself. I use mine for my Samson C01 condenser mic. It is plenty strong enough to support it without any issues. The only issue I had with it is when clamping it down to my desk, I noticed a small crack in the plastic. I immediately emailed the email address that was provided in the packaging requesting a new clamp, with pictures and my order number. They responded fairly quickly, and said that they would send me a new clamp. Much to my surprise, they sent me a whole new stand which arrived in about a week. For $13 you get a decent mic stand, a pop screen, and excellent customer service. I would definitely buy from this company again.

Great little mic boom
Great little mic boom, pros- easy to set up, works perfectly after tightening a few of the nuts. cons- you really need to tighten the nuts at the end of the boom to keep heavier mics from slowly sliding downward, this is not a complicated thing to do with a couple pairs of pliers or sockets and wrenches. You can route your usb or xlr cables between the spring tensioners to run the cable along the boom to keep them out of the way.All in all, for the price, you really cant beat this boom, and the included pop filter works perfectly. Definitely can recommend.

Would be perfect for my needs but has one caveat
Nearly perfect for my needs (clamped to the front of my desk). Sturdy metal construction throughout. The only thing I don't like about the mount is the clamp and arm are separate pieces, and where they go together the arm either wants to come out easily if it's loose, or if it's tightened at all it's difficult to turn. The peg ought to have a little groove in it for the tightening screw to ride in. Pop filter is a little annoying but overall works well for what I paid.Edit Dec.12: Works best with squared desk edges only. My desk has a radiused edge on top which means the upper portion of the clamp is only gripping with about half of its surface area, which is allowing the whole assembly to move slightly every time I reposition the mic, and it eventually wiggles itself off of my desk. Overtightening it simply bends the clamp which makes the problem worse. Not knocking any stars though because my desk is not the clamp's fault.

Works perfect with the Blue Snowball USB microphone
I use this boom with a Blue snowball, Blue Snowball USB Microphone (Brushed Aluminum) and it works great. There was some concern about the weight of the snowball on the end of this thing but it holds up just fine.It swivels and stretches with little effort, and frees up my desk space. I spend a lot of time talking online and having to maneuver around the little mic stand on my desk was getting to be a pain. This solves that problem and looks pretty spiffy to boot. Also, it does come with the 3/8 to 5/8 adapter built in to the bottom of the mic clip, which is easily removable for use with the snowball. Someone else said that it's not there, I just bought this in mid-January of 2017, and the adapter is included. The adapter is a plastic one. If you think you might be removing the microphone and putting it back on quite a bit, you should consider buying a metal adapter, as I can see the threads on this plastic one getting easily stripped over time. Foto&Tech Metal Adapter 5/8-Inch Male to 3/8-Inch Female Mic Screw for Mic Microphone Stand I went ahead and ordered one, just to have it handy. This also came with a nice pop filter, but since I already had one, I now have an extra. :)Please pardon my messy desk in the photo, I spend a lot of time at this disk.

Does its job, has a few issues though.
This mic stand ticked all the boxes for me from the get go, however, there's a few flaws which i'll mention in this review. The clamp is great, and will fit some of the more thicker desks out there, which was a godsend to me as my desk is very thick. My main issue with this mic stand is the springs, such that when the mic stand is extended, the springs move slightly, making a hideously loud "PIING" noise, which is heavily audible and my friends on Discord say resonates through the mic for up to 8 seconds, so if you're wanting to make podcasts, best not to move the stand when recording. The pop filter included works great, and i've had no issues mounting it.The clamp can ocassionally losen, causing the stand to become loose, and i've once had my entire stand fall off my desk due to the clamp loosening.Overall for the price this is a great budget friendly mic stand.

Pretty sweet rig
My kids thinks he's a pro now when he's screaming at his friends on Fortnite and Overwatch and whatever else he plays. Its a good thing it's sturdy and holds that mic solidly because the next time he wakes me up in going to use its solid build quality to smack him with it.

2 Year Review - Not Recommended.
I bought this originally at some time in 2018. The reason I am on here right now is I've been looking for a good replacement which I think I have found.Sturdiness: At first, it works well. This is on a microphone BELOW the recommended weight limit. Over time, it constantly loosens and I have to re-tighten it.Value for money: I bought it for 12.99 GBP however it is now 15.99 GBP. It's a good value. It is VERY cheap and you get what you pay for.Durability: Remember, I have had it for 2 years. The bottom of the arm that goes into the clamp, first of all, has gone VERY soft. It is no longer a perfect circle. It has worn down so much it cannot tighten well. It has also bent so that the arm now leans forwards/downwards. This is a pain and ruins the sturdiness. Durability is a flat 1/5.The middle of the arm has a spot to tighten it. The plastic grip for it as cracked and fell off and I now have to use pliers to tighten it. This is very inconvenient as it sometimes loosens over time, but it's mostly the end one holding my microphone that loosens.Overall, I do not recommend this and instead recommend a higher quality stand at a slightly higher price.Remember, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Sturdy, flexible and perfect for home studios
Unlike many of the other reviewers, for me both the arm and popfilter arrived both in a good condition as well as tightend so i barely had to adjust anything. Im currently using it with the Bluew Snowball ICE which weighs aproximately half a kilo, and it holds it up with ease, besides that it does require a bit of force, which is fine in my case since it proves that its a sturdy product. However, if you wish to use it with a condenser mic like the blue snowball, it can be a bit tricky to remove the end, but losening a few brackets such as the crosspoint between the black aluminum bracket, and the clear metal rod. Im still surprised of the quality of this product compared to the price and other arm like it, such as the RØDE version which costs about 3 times the price.

Not For Long Term Use
The main design flaw with this product is how the arm mounts to the desk clamp. It relies on a screw that presses against a holo metal shaft when tightened. The metal for the shaft is very soft and there's does not provide a threaded hole for the screw to lock into. The problem with this is that over time the shaft becomes worn and flimsy. Eventually, the weight of any microphones will pull the arm down due to the shaft bending/buckling which is completely unrelated to the main section of the boom arm and tension springs. What would have been much better, is to have a solid metal shaft that the desk camp screws/locks into, then have a rotating lockable ball joint. Similar to what you would find on a Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod. However, if you're not concerned about long term use, it's cheap and does the job. If you want something that would last you longer than 6 months, then look at investing in something else.
