right out of the boxes, they were easy to just plop on the ground and use for wherever i wanted. For me, it was around a raised garden that has stones and weeds all around , so this was a perfect grouping for me, to place all around the garden and have a place that is easy to walk on...plus it looks great and really made the area nice looking. The only one negative , but was so easy to remedy, was the smell when the planks are first out of the box and placed on the ground. But, i found out that i could just throw a little dishwashing soap or laundry detergent, even watered down a lot , all over the planks and then just wash off with a hose and the smell is gone within a few minutes..(cannot identify the smell, maybe an insecticide or a wood coating? but i have bought a lot of them and probably always will when i need them

These cedar boardwalk sections are just what I needed to fix up my uneven, muddy garden pathway fast and for such a reasonable cost. Each year, the path beside my raised beds has gotten more uneven, and there is no chance of growing grass there, since it is the main thoroughfare between the house, garage, compost bins, and garden. It is kind of at the bottom of a slope, and it can be slippery when wet. A brick or paver pathway would be ideal, but it would be time-consuming and expensive to install. I bought three of these cedar boardwalks, and they are as easy to install and whipping a spreading a beach blanket. They were all three in perfect condition. Though I doubt they would stand up to rough treatment, I expect they will be quite durable enough for my purpose. They suit the rustic nature of my New England garden, and will probably weather in time. I won't leave them out over the winter. Perfect solution!

I originally purchased these for a path down to the lake but ended up using them as a walkway to our patio. The ground is very uneven with a slope to one side. I used some sand underneath and they work perfectly! They are much more sturdy than I expected and the treads on them help with traction. I plan to get more in the future. I am hoping they hold up because they are perfect for what we needed. One note - I ended up getting the curved 4ft one too but it is not nearly as sturdy since the wood pieces are cut smaller to accommodate the curve. They would be fine on flat ground but didn’t work as well as the straight pieces for my sloped walkway.

We put bark underneath and ordered extra stakes to reinforce stability. I used a water-based outdoor wood stain. The stain helps maintain the color and adds more waterproof protection since we have extremely rainy winters. They have held up beautifully through the summer (3 1/2) months of constant walking on and water from sprinklers. We will see how it holds up over the winter.

It might be bit on the pricey side, but it will be well worth it. We have a pool and the path way to the pool is part concrete and dirt. So, my kids going to and coming from the pool would get their feet dirty. After getting this wooden pathway, we simply rolled it out where we want to walk and it instantly transformed the pathway into a fancy walk way. 8 feet was bit short for us. So, we ended up buying two and it was good enough to reach the pool. What is one thing I really like about this pathway? The fact that it won't get damaged by pool water or rain. So far, it has been getting used on and off for a week now and in the rain and has been working for us. No complain here. Buyers of this product should think through before posting their comments. Just because this item came broken doesn't mean all their products including this one DEFECTIVE and NO ONE SHOULD USE IT. Things can get damaged during shipment, you know.

what can i say, i loved this so much the minute i got it, i had to order another. it came packaged so that i could easily carry it to where i wanted to place it, that i was able to open the end of the box, "pour" the walkway out of the box and then just roll it out. the walkway has been ugly since the universe was in short trousers and nothing i ever put there worked. cement walking brickey things always tripped me and everyone else, not to mention catching up the garden hose all the time. this walk way just rolled out, its so lovely to walk on, hose off if it gets muddy and is easily moved if you need to move it elsewhere. probably going to get a third on. i'm that happy with them. one more will reach to my driveway.

I bought 2 of these for my garden and about a month ago they both fell apart. There isn’t any wire, as stated in the description, in the rubber that strings them together. I invested an afternoon and an additional $40 at the hardware store to buy galvanized cable and put them back together. The wood is still good but needs a new coat of varnish to keep them a while longer. They are NOT worth what I paid. Buyer beware.

I bought these to create a walkway in a small section in my backyard that meets up with an existing deck from a back door, previously we had to walk through a muddy (in the rain) mess which either tracked dirt in my home or onto our deck. This is perfect, however you really do need to either partially sink them in the ground or secure with anchors every few feet to prevent them from moving when you walk over them. The cedar is beautiful and matches well with my cedar stained deck. My little dog even likes to use it to avoid puddles after a hard rain. I'm looking forward to seeing the grass fill along the edges once the seed takes root.

Very pleased with this product! Well made, & suited the pathway that I needed it for! Looks great, I used u pins that I purchased at a dollar store in the garden supplies,to hold it in place because we get some windy conditions & it has held up wellI also purchased the curved path as well!

If only it weren’t quite so expensive, I’d have bought a half dozen of these. Absolutely wonderful for the outdoor areas where water may pool during heavy rains.

We built an outdoor shower in the woods just outside our cottage and right beside the beach. This walkway works perfect to keep the sand off our feet as we walt to and from the shower.
