Tastes as good as protein will taste but it gets the job done

Tastes horrible. I don't know if it is old, but it just tastes "old". I think it's protein powder for old people. Don't buy this, no matter how cheap it is.

I bought this from a local store and the packaging had a different design, but as far as I can tell it’s the same product.It is the worst protein powder I have ever tried. Mine came with a tiny yellow scoop which I suspect might be the wrong scoop for this product. When I follow the directions to add one rounded scoop to 12 ounces of water, the resulting liquid is extremely thin and tastes almost no different than plain water. I noticed the serving size says one scoop should be 29 g, so I weighed a scoop with my kitchen scale and a rounded scoop of powder only weighed 19 g.For comparison sake I checked a different brand of chocolate protein powder and it’s directions said 50 g of powder to 6-8 ounces of water. I weighed a scoop of it, and it came out to almost exactly 50 g.Out of curiosity, I then tried an experiment to compare the two protein powders. I blended 50 g of this universal power protein with 6 g of water, set that aside, then blended 50 g of the other protein powder with 6 g of water, and set it aside so I could taste them side-by-side at the same ratio of powder to water.The Universal protein was thin and tasted like water with sugar in it. The other protein was thick and creamy and actually tasted like chocolate. The difference between the two is unbelievable. Normally I just mix this powder with frozen bananas and other ingredients so I don’t really notice the taste or lack of it, but if I was using this with just water or milk, I would find it disgusting.The first ingredient in this Universal Protein is “High performance carbohydrate complex (glucose polymers fructose dextrose)”, which is just a fancy way of saying different types of sugars. I think it would be more accurate if they named this “unflavored carb and protein powder”, or simply “sugar-protein mix”.

I had great results and felt the results but it did seem a bit older in date and didn't mix the best but overall good

Not enough content in the container for the price. The product has an aftertaste that is just terrible. I wouldn't purchase this product again. Very disappointed. Not worth the money. Sorry to give a negative review but this is just not fair to the consumers.
