The Backing Beats Other Brands, But Isn't as Stiff as the Old Ones
These are good steno pads compared to most of the trash sold now. If they had the stiff backing of the old ones we used back in the 70s and 80s, they'd be perfect. The backs are thicker than any of the other recently produced pads I've used, but still not quite thick enough to use on your knee without something else to back it up.I literally have an old back off a 70s steno pad that I keep nearby for that purpose. I can only guess that someone died, and took the secret of making thick cardstock with them.
