After getting this device I found it probably isn't what I can use. I feel that the tool is perfect for someone who might be doing numerous PH tests per hour/day/week where it doesn't dry out and doesn't have to be recalibrated every time you need to use it. I will be testing the PH of collected rain water possibly once a month - maybe more often but the tool will have to calibrated each time. It comes with calibration powders which they suggest you mix and store for future use but its way more complicated that I will need. Headed back to Amazon to find a simple aquarium type tester that I can keep on the shelf and not worry about calibration before I can use it.

I purchased this for the purpose of measuring the pH in my swimming pool. After having the pool emptied and re-filled, I was having trouble balancing the chemicals in it and thought this would help. It's very easy to use and fast and efficient. I am a proverbial doubter so I checked the device against water testing strips and it measured the acid level perfectly. From the reading, I was able to figure out approximately how much acid to add to my pool water. Living in Florida, we have a lot of rain, which raises the pH in the pool. As I have a salt water chlorinator, it's imperative to keep the acid at the proper level so the chlorinator can make chlorine at the proper level. Since my salt level can be observed from the chlorinator device, all I really need to see is the pH level. The pH Meter is ideal for this.This device is exceptional if you have a salt water swimming pool and extremely helpful even if you don't. I'm very satisfied with this product.

When it arrived the sensor bulb appeared dry so I decided to calibrate the meter. It's wasn't easy. To calibrate the temperature of the liquids you are using must be in 25 degrees C. pH is affected by two things: temperature of the liquid and the concentration of the solute. The written direction needs some work. The sensor bulb must stay somewhat wet when you are not using. This part i'm not so crazy about.

The pH meter itself works very well and was easy to calibrate. However, when I opened the box from Amazon I noticed that the case containing the meter was open. Also in the case was supposed to be some pH strips. According to my order it should've been two separate containers of pH strips when what I received was actually just a couple of small packets of strips. Doubt if it's a problem with Health Metric as I've had Amazon mishandle orders previously during packing and lose or break items.

Great product to measure ph levels of different liquids. pH meters have a big variety of applications from canning food to exotic fish and pool testing but I found it useful for dietary and kids’ science projects. I like to be aware about the foods we consume as a family - water from stores, tap water, vinegar, cola drinks, wine, milk, tea, etc. Helps me have psychologically better awareness of how alkaline my diet really is.Found the digital pH meter to be very accurate and easy to use. Had to calibrate it in the beginning which took about 7-8 minutes. But it is much easier now - click the button and just dip it in the liquid and get the reading. Much easier than chemicals or test strips.So far, have been very satisfied with it! :)

This product broke the first day I had it. I literally used it once, and when I tried to use it the second time, the Ph measurement was all over the place, When I checked the probe, the glass dome was there was missing. What a piece of junk!

Arrived early, as advertised. Great product! Easy to use, tested household water vs reverse osmosis system. 7.7 vs 7.0. Interesting, and the tester will get a lot of use.
