No, it does not rust easily at all. It’s a marvelous knife and I use mine every day. But like all truly fine knives it should be washed, not scrubbed with any kind of abrasive surface, after each use using dish detergent and rinsed thouroughly, then dried with a towel. Don’t just stick it in a drainer to air dry.
