Hunky Dory [Picture Disc] (2015 Remastered Vinyl)

I bought Hunky Dory for the first time in 1973 when RCA reissued David’s early records. So I liked the idea of this picture disc. Please don’t expect it to sound like a high quality recording because in my experience, no picture disc ever manages it. Just love this picture disc of Hunky Dory as a wonderful memento of days gone by. If you play it, it actually sounds ok. I also have the latest Parlophone pressing and that sounds great btw.

A really good edition to my David Bowie collection, would recommend.

Never played it. Never will. Just great to look at! Will play my original '72 LP and 20 bit CD remaster to enjoy the legend that is Hunky Dory!

I bought this original and played and played it.This one is a picture disk and I’m collecting albums now .

Enjoyed album first time id bought it and enjoyed it in its re-release it has a little rumbel noise on at start before the music starts but you can't here it once it starts worth owning

Brilliant album however the last track on side 1 sticks. Would have given it a 5 star but was slightly disappointed by this.

I really like this album. Bowie was a singular talent who shone brightly for a short time.This release doesn't do him or the music any justice. I'm using a decent Nagaoka MP-110 Moving Magnet Cartridge on my deck which draws out clarity, details and nuance from the source but the downside is that if the source is poor, has surface noise and no finesse it draws that out too... In spades. This disc sounds like a charity shop £1 disaster.Avoid. The irony is that I'll be keeping it because it's a great addition to a collection. I think I'll just order the au20 gold edition and enjoy that.Sorry, but avoid.
