Crazepony EMAX F3 Femto Flight Controller for QAV130 QAV150 QAV-R FPV Racing Quadcopter (EMAX F3 Flight Controller)

Its a great flight controller but after i got all my motors soldered up well and my reciver and camera it decided to burn itself out so....... Idk from experience of diy so far but in the pre built baby hawk its fine

Got this for my first scratch-build quad. I put it on a 90mm frame and wired it nicely to a Makerfire 4-in-1 ESC. I had to create a soft mount for it. I just cut an old credit card to the right size to fit in the stack, then used double sided foam tape to stick it to the credit card. It worked beautifully. I got everything hooked up, went into BetaFlight and had an issue. I emailed the seller on here and they got back to me very quickly, though in the time waiting, I found out I was using the wrong protocol. I switched from DShot600 to ONESHOT and all four motors spun up beautifully. I used BLHeli to switch directions of two of the motors, and BF to change the motor resource. It flies great!

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this board. Came with an old version of beta-flight installed and would not connect so that I could flash it with a newer version, overall had bad connection issues with the beta-flight configurator. Wouldn't save settings on Save and Reboot either. When I did get it working it decided to go crazy on me and full throttled my motors. All other controls seem to work fine though, It randomly decides to take off on its own (maybe bad gyro?). Overall its too unreliable to safely fly :(

Maybe I am doing something incorrectly but I cannot get this FC to work properly as a replacement for the current one in my BabyHawk. I thought I had an issue with my Babyhawk's motor and ESC at first, motor one will just twitch and not spin up. So I replaced my ESC and motor thinking this would fix the quadcopter. I was wrong however and still had the issue. So I thought it might be the flight controller. I ordered this unit and replaced it but now still have the same issue with the same motor! I dont have the option to enable dshot in BetaFlight, which was suggested to me at first, and now am left to wonder if its the flight controller or something in the software on either the FC or the ESC. I cant recommend this as a direct replacement for the babyhawk's flight controller though

Very disappointed when it arrived. The flight arrow is not in the same direction as the original for the Babyhawk. Can't access the usb port because the cam mount is in the way and the whole flight controller is turned making fitting it in with the xm plus more of a pain.* I would like to add that this board does work in the Babyhawk. I don't want to mislead anyone. This post is not to bash the seller. Unless you deal with this problem first hand, you would not know.

Item arrived on time and as advertised,packaging was good, the femto flight controller was amazing, I only did a little changes on betaflight, like the pid ,configuration, mode and motor calibration, I hook up the battery, and that's all, it fly's great! And smooth, just like that, I was very satisfied with this flight controller,this is my 5th micro quad build, will purchase again this femto f3 for my next DIY project.

For anyone who has an issue with this board having directional forward direction arrow keeping usb port from being accessible you can change orientation in both cleanflight and betaflight. It will be the yaw setting you will need to figure out the degrees which you choose to turn the board for port access. There are many tutorials on YouTube for both configurators regarding changing orientation on flight controller.
