Music Alley 6 String Size 30inch Junior Classical Guitar (Pink), (MA-51)

This little guitar is great. I've been playing for years and own several expensive guitars. I purchased this looking for something cheap that I could keep in my car and practice scales on during downtime as I travel frequently for work (didn't want to spend $100+ on a legitimate travel guitar from a music store). I was looking for something small/cheap that would somewhat stay in tune for the most part- i did anticipate some tuning issues since it's a cheap instrument. When it arrived I wasn't sure what to expect, however I was impressed with the quality/sound. Of course it's not the best, but it sounds similar to a ukulele which I find pleasant. It had trouble staying in tune at first when I played chords, but since I expected that I wasn't upset about it. I was happy it served its purpose as a convenient practice tool. After about 3 weeks it began to hold its tune. Some string instruments need a "breaking in" period and will become better at holding tune after you play it for a bit. I was not expecting that from this, so that was a GREAT surprise. Not sure if I got lucky or if they are all consistently manufactured. It is cheaply made, but for $30 I am not complaining. I would definitely recommend to other guitarists as a fun portable practice tool or to children or even adults looking to dabble but not sure if they want to commit yet. Just beware of the tuning issues, hopefully yours will settle in nicely like mine did. I thought about docking a star bc of this, but considering the price i believe it deserves 5. I love mine!

Good little guitar. It was given as a birthday present to an 8yr old girl, she's little and short though like 45lbs and maybe 48" tall. It fits her perfectly. The gig bag is super cute, thin but it works well. Oversized picks came with it. Tuner works (I clip it carefully into the cutout to tune). I do not like the nylon strings mxed with steel but that's an opinion. The action is huge, I filed down the bridge a lot, could do better with smaller guage steel strings too, the strings attached to the top are just weak but have stood up so far 30+ days at least. Not too cheap, it's on the border of toy-guitar/real-guitar for sure. Kiddos love it. Needs tuning a lot but that's expected.

No fret markers/inlays. Will not stay in tune for more than several minutes.

I got this for my niece, and since she's 6 I'm not too worried about the quality issues I came across. The body is okay, but when I was trying it out I noticed that there's some buzzing on the B string, and when I went up on the higher frets on the G string, there was one place where the same note came out of three side-by-side frets, which doesn't speak of a quality instrument - one ought to expect that, by going half a step up on the same string, the note would be a half-step up from the one you just played. But nope! Oh, well. She's not going to be playing at the 12th fret at this stage. If all you need is a cheap guitar for a kid who might be interested in music, this is fine. She'll just be playing basic chords at most at this stage anyway!

Not happy with this purchase at all. We ordered the pink one for a child's Christmas present. She was super excited when she opened it and we tuned it for her. By the time she played it for 10 minutes (and shes 10-she didn't play it too hard or anything), it was out of tune. I tuned it again and it did the same thing. So now everytime she wants to play it, I have to tune it with my phone app. Its now outside of the return window so we are stuck with it. Sad because she really likes the guitar but these are so cheaply made it will not work for any child. Very disappointed.

Get product for $$. Son loved it. He is 4 years old, would say good size for 4-6 or 7 maybe

It’s has three guitar string and 3 fishing line like strings. Paint job is horrible on the sides. Not horrible but not what we expected

You get what you pay for. This guitar will not tune at all and while it’s super cheap and made for a kid I did expect it to at least be in tune. I bought it for a 5 year old as an introduction to music but it’s so horribly out of tune and even tuning by a musician who know how to tune guitars is ineffectual. Don’t waste your money.

My niece absolutely loves this guitar, did we buy it because she’s a child prodigy..hell no...did we buy it to wind my brother & sister in law up...oh yes....just wondering do you make drum kits?

First one we received had massive cracks in the paint on the base and rear of the guitar body despite packaging looking fine. Amazon replaced quickly (great service).Paint fine on the replacement but useless as a musical instrument as the first fret is sunk lower in the neck than the rest so you can’t play a clean note. Obviously wasn’t expecting a Fender for the price but it would be nice if was actually usable to teach a kid to play on. Generally crappy finish as can be seen from the photos.

I had to hide this from my 6 year old to avoid disappointment. No matter how many times I tuned it, it wouldn’t hold the tuning & would go horrendously out of tune with every chord. You cannot use this as a musical instrument, it’s a glorified tune. The high E string also snapped immediately. £29 isn’t the world but don’t even bother buying this unless you’re short on firewood.

La compré porque fue la que tenía aparentemente la mejor calidad precio y he acertado.Se ve buena de calidad, y no es tan frágil, aguanta bien el manejo de un niño de 5 años.La compré para iniciar al niño en clases de guitarra, y el tamaño le viene perfecto.Es muy bonita, muy brillante.Quizas la funda que trae es su fallo, podría ser algo más acolchada para protegerla un poco, pero por ese precio tampoco se puede pedir más.

DO NOT PURCHASE. The pictures attached don’t even show how bad the quality of the product is or all the damage and MOULD! There is mould and spores all over the guitar bag. Luckily I opened this before wrapping for a child’s birthday otherwise the child would have opened the mouldy bag themselves!This is extremely unsafe! Especially as it’s clearly designed for children! I’m not happy at all about this and desire to take it further. Besides that being a huge issue there is also scratches and marks all over the guitar and the colour is not accurately presented. DO NOT BUY.
