Good nettleproof gloves
My wife always uses gloves like this, and I've always used leather gloves. I got these to see if she was actually right about how good this type of glove is. My answer? mostly.I thought that having a rubberised palm-side on the glove would make them damp with sweat inside in no time. I was wrong. The breathable back seems to allow enough moisture out that it isn't a problem.I've been using them for digging, planting out potted plants and removing nettles. I've had no problem at all with digging. They're grippy and don't cause blisters, probably because they're so close fitting, so handling tools like spades is no problem at all. When I was planting out they got dirty, but they clean up well and my hands didn't get wet, so another success. My leather gloves would have let me down here with water ingress. Then I moved on to nettle removal. The palm side of the glove is completely nettle-proof but sadly the back of the gloves might as well not be there when in contact with a nettle. I'm able to pull them up without getting stung, but it takes some care to not have the back of the glove touch the plant. They are not thistle-proof at all. In this situation my leather gloves win, but the lesson is to not let the nettles get so big in the first place.Overall I like these gloves and I'll continue using them over my leather gloves for all but the toughest tasks.

Decent gardening gloves but pricey
They are pretty good gloves, a bit pricey especially for the larger ones at £14 a pair. Comparing them to my normal supply of £6 gloves which look remarkably similar apart from the touch screen fingers that didn't works at all once I got muck on them and they aren't that useful for me without face id.They have the age old gardener glove issue where they are only waterproof on the bottom so the moisture seeps straight around onto the hand. They are decent gloves but I expect a lot more for the money as these aren't much better than cheaper equivalents.

Good protective gloves, but are a little small.
I would like to point out that I have smallish hands for a man but the wrist support was very tight, (not nice and slack around the wrist, as shown in the pictures) and I had to struggle to get these on, once on they are fine, but dare I say just a touch too big.I have never had a problem with garden gloves before, so this is a puzzle to me really, they are supposed to be 9/L and that is what is marked on them, and I normally take Medium size.My wife tried them on and they fitted her smaller hands, so I think she will be using them and not me.I would have loved to have given them stars, as the quality is fine but I have to be honest in my review, so I have knocked one star off because of the size issue.Maybe this is a faulty pair, I don't know.

Good Fit And Good Protection And Yes I Can Answer A Phone Call
I have not tried before to use a mobile phone while gardening and if you are the very phone active type this extra feature may tempt you.My phone seems to also respond to the other fingers without the extra bumps.Seem to offer good protection from the stinging nettles and similar nasty weeds and they are a good fit.Don't forget to remove the leaflet from inside one of the gloves before you use them :)

Excellent gardening gloves
These are a good fit (I have fairly large hands) and are string enough to prevent being spiked by the various savage plants living in our garden.

Too small
Although I have large hands they are not excessively large. I have always taken a Large size in gardening and other gloves. However, this Size 9 Large pair was too small for me.I decided to keep them as I can just about fit in them, after having cut the elastic at the bottom of the wrist. Having done this I see that Gardena also sell an XL size 10 too. I recommend that buyers consider the XL rather than the L to make sure they fit their hands in them.My own preference is for a thinner coating for the "rubberised" palms of gardening gloves so that I can feel better what I am handling. It does have the advantage though of extra protection.

Useful
Good general garden gloves. Thicker leather gloves are required for dealing with roses, brambles, etc. easy to wash with dish liquid and baking soda when the start to smell like gym socks.
