Another winner.
The plot is basic boy meets girl but who cares. It's a very fulfilling tale. Easy to digest.Sometimes though, the stupidity of people is annoying. But that's what makes a good book believable. Because? People can be stupid.Every time I get to the plot part where it's coulda, shoulda, woulda, my patience frays a little bit.But I'm laughing at myself now, because truthfully, that's how it works ... in real life. Doesn't it?

Enjoyable
I enjoyed this book and would love to see an update on this couple. Emma normally known for being reliable and steady has a few secrets under her belt. Add in the chemistry between Wyatt and Emma along with the good build up; and this leaves you with a decent story to read. I will admit that I did not read the other two books in the series. It was still a good read and there was nothing lost just moving towards this book in the series.

a good read a romance that starts differently
Recently discovered covered Jamie Beck and enjoyed reading the Sterling Canyon series. Perfect blend of well developed characters Emma and Wyatt. Good story made the readers care about them and their unusual pairing. Good ending too. Plus an accurate point about small town gossip and images. Will look forward to buying and reading more of Jamie's books . I appreciate the escape from my law enforcement career and dealing with attorneys ( hope that have you smile Jamie). Keep writing we need you!

Dedication then Courage to love herself...
Poor indebted Emma. Took a lot of strength and love to live her life for her Mother until the month she had some freedom. Hard work and dedication and empathy for others gave her opportunities to help everyone but herself. Courage to finally be herself and pursue a career outside of being the Innkeeper finally woke up the real Emma. And then he returned to add the coal to her fire. I would love to see a sequel to this beautiful love story someday....please.

Difficult to put down and excellent characters
I thought this book was the best of first three of the series. The characters were good and the situations interesting. I went back and fourth from reading and audio versions. Kate Rudd who did the first three books audio was terrific and one of the best narrators I have heard.

Storyline dragged a little bit but good, keeping with author 's style
I loved Emma because she seemed quite real, sometimes coming too close to me for comfort. Emma's struggle to be herself without fear of shame and judgement is too familiar to some of us. I was happy to see her free herself of those chains while still young to live a happy and shameless life.I was not a fan of Wyatt; O felt his character was not as well developed as other men in this author's books.

Great Series
Love this author. Can’t wait to read book 4. Jamie does an amazing job on her books. She has been one of my favorites.

A great read
I have enjoyed reading this book by this author. I can't claim this to be the first book I have read by Jamie Beck. I usually don't enjoy reading explicit sex scenes. I better enjoy books with hints of romance without all of the detailed descriptions.

Baby it's got colder outside
Not quite sure I'm used to Jamie writing semi-erotic books but I must admit she's pulled it off and still managed to write the story with her usual thoughtful look at personal dilemmas and problems. Although the story line is a basic love story it's well written with a lovely flow and great diction and full of very humorous one liners and situations. Because of it being Jamie's first move into "steamy" story telling this is a novelty for her fans and should be on your bookshelf or kindle carousel just to see the diversity of her talent. Recommended read or listen.

Surprising and revealing. You cannot put it down.
I thought I was going to be disappointed at the outset by the character of Emma. The last chapter justified the whole.Jamie writes what she knows and I think the reader can totally empathise with her experience at some of many levels. Classical Jamie Beck.

Formulaic but enjoyable sequel
I never like to post spoilers. I will say Jamie is great at writing likeable women I usually root for when I read. Emotional rollercoasters are the reason I've read two full series she's written. I don't wanna write any more and spoil the story!

Another goodie!
I had left it a while before reading this next adventure in the lives of the three friends. It took me a short time to put things in place, but once I had remembered, the book took off. It was again, an enjoyable read. I would recommend it.
