Good quality
Super easy to get set up and works great once you get the hose in there. I would suggest reeling the hose up and leaving it for a day so that it can shape to the reel. This makes it easier to reel in and out in the future. Has been sitting outside in the Florida sun and has not discolored or gotten warped super good quality and the plastic is good quality.

Hose Reel is adequate, but not very sturdy. For instance, it doesn't have a bottom.
The hose reel is functional, but not very sturdy when free-standing. It comes with a pretty long supply hose (maybe 6 feet long). It's very light and does require some kind of anchoring to the ground, or maybe to a patio block. For now, I have mine setting on a patio block and that keeps it somewhat steady as you unreel some hose. There are times when I need to unreel almost all 100 feet of the hose when I'm doing pressure washing of the sidewalk 75 feet away in my front yard. In that case the whole hose reel can be lifted up and pulled away from the wall, turned 90 degrees, turned on it's back with the cover flat on the ground, and then I can pull the hose straight out from it without it flopping over. So it does the job I bought it for, but because it has no bottom, it makes it hard to mount it to anything to anchor it down.

Works well
This item works as it should. It comes fully assembled, just pull it out of the box, connect the included hose to the spigot, and connect your hose to the reel and wind it up. I do wish it had a little more room, I have a 100-foot 5/8 hose connected to it and there is barely enough room for it. Ana the foot hold is not meant for someone wearing boots or with big feet. Beyond that, I am quite pleased with it.

I was wrong this thing just is bad
Edit: So my original assessment without having used it much was wrong. This thing is just horrible and a waste of money. Save yourself time and a headache and just get a different better quality brand that is a little more expensive. So it really does not fit a 100 ft hose. It only fits such a hose if you spend 15 minutes neatly rolling the hose tightly around the spool guiding it with your hand. Even then it still leaves you about 10 ft that really doesn't fit because you wind it any more than that then gets stuck because of the ridges down the center inside the box. Constantly wants to skip the spool and wind itself behind the plastic guard that is supposed to prevent that, which is nearly impossible to fix without unwinding everything, which becomes next to impossible to do because of the hose off the spool locking up the spool. And after a few months am pretty sure that the handle is going to end up breaking since the spool constantly wants to jam up because of the center ridge and jumping the spool issue. Have never had one of these that was more of a pain in the you know where than this one has turned out to be.Original: So was missing 1 washer that was needed. And just barely gets a 100ft hose to fit with no room to spare. Which means if you wind it up just slightly off the top pops up. But for the price is decent and seems fairly sturdy.

Def Not Worth $50
Not sturdy. It holds the hose and it rolls it up, but the cranking is not smooth. The whole front is open, so the hose doesn't automatically reel in across and back like expected. I would have to manually hold the dirty, wet hose in my hand and let it slide through the 100', maneuvering it back and forth. I bought this one because it said it holds a 100' hose - well just barely, but the lid doesn't quite close. Additionally, the box feels wobbly and it's hard to crank because everything is cheap plastic and you need 2 hands. The lid closes crooked and I had to push it to the side to get it to close. Mind you that is with the hose not all the way in because it doesn't close with the whole hose in.Very disappointed. I thought if I spent 50 bucks, I'd get something sturdy. This feels like a $29 box. If you have one of those shrinking hoses, then it will hold 100'; otherwise, I wouldn't use it for more than 75'. I will probably return this because I will be frustrated every time I use it.

Easy to Use and Good Price!
I recently purchased the Suncast CPLPHH100D Hideaway Hose Reel, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with it. The 100-foot capacity is perfect for my garden, and it easily holds my 5/8" hose. The resin material feels durable, and I appreciate that it’s designed to withstand the outdoor elements. One of the standout features for me is the crank handle—it makes rewinding the hose much more manageable, and the stay-up lid helps keep everything neat and organized. The neutral taupe color blends well with my outdoor decor, and the size is just right—it doesn’t take up too much space but still fits the hose comfortably. Assembly was straightforward, though I did find the crank mechanism to be a bit stiff at first. After a few uses, it became easier to operate. For the price I paid—$39.99, which is a great discount from the original price—it offers good value.
