Winsor & NewtonProfessional Water Colour Paint, 0.47-oz Tube, Perylene Violet

I'd never tried artist quality paint before. It is noticeably better than the W&N Cotman paints. It goes on smoother and is far more pigmented, so although it was expensive, it was worth it.

I started with WN Cotman student watercolor paints. Good, but I did not understand mixing problems, learned about paint and tried single pigment M. Graham paint on a reccomendation over more expensive WN Professional paint. I like them very much. Took a class based on WN pro paint and bout a set for the class. WN Pro paint is very nice, but I find I prefer my M. Graham paints. The colors are every bit as good or better, and they wet better. WN paints are dryer. Not a big deal, but not my style. Add the higher cost of WN, and I go back to M. Graham.

One of my favorite versions of Manganese blue. Nice and vibrant bright blue. Yet subtle enough for mixing warm purples and bright greens. Or just using for bright blue summer skies. Non granulating, too. Definitely would recommend this color.

As a now-practicing watercolorist, I find that in some watercolor sets, the yellow is not always the right tint or hue. But instead of buying another whole set, this individual tube was all I needed for a complete palette.

product arrived in tact and on time. I'm just getting acquainted with the Winsor and Newton paints. Have not used yet. I wait to incorporate with a class. However, many wonderful artist use and recommend this watercolor paint. I'm sure it will be just fine.

If you paint watercolor, and love French Ultramarine blue, you'll love this Ultramarine Violet. Expected granulation and separation, lays down beautifully, blends well, washes are gorgeous, and a lovely, transparent purple. LOVE it!

Great color, however darker than I thought by the picture. I can still use the shade. Winsor Newton professional paint is very good quality

Too small for the price. This should be offered in a larger size. It's finished after a few uses.

Absolutely love this pigment. This dusty rose is beautiful and perfect for painting muted flowers and roses. A little goes a long way.
