Very sturdy

For saying my house was built for someone disabled, for some unknown reason, the front & back doors all seem to be stupidly high up, so getting in & out of the house is a challenge for anyone with mobility problems.However, since we have a brick porch outside the front & back doors, putting a permanent half-step in place is also not ideal, so we needed an alternative.I invested in a portable step so now we have the option to put the step down when needed & store it out the way when not in use.It's also ideal that because it's not really massive or very heavy, I can take it in the car so my mum can get in & out easier as my car is also quite high up. So anyone who might not be able to carry heavy weights can probably still move this step around without too much issue.Due to its size, it stores nicely away out of sight under our bureau next to the front door, making it easy to retrieve when needed & quick to hide when not in use (second photo).It is thick enough plastic that it shouldn't crack or shatter with normal use & appears sturdy enough to hold a considerable weight (Although I'm not actually sure what the maximum weight-bearing load is).Its feet are wide enough to make it stable & not likely to rock when stood on. It sits nicely even on top of our other doormat, so we haven't got to pick one up to put another down.It also seems to have enough grip to make it antislip in wet weather, which is a relief as I was worried that in trying to solve one problem I would be inadvertently creating another when stepping on a plastic step with wet feet.I would recommend this step as it has proven to be invaluable.

It has been ideal for what I got it for which is basically as a step to help my puppy get in and out the back door. It did come with a crack on one of the corners, but it hasn't impacted the sturdiness of it. We obviously step on it ourselves aswell not just the puppy and it's worked out handy for us.

We had rather a deep step that my dad struggled with when he came to visit, using this step has enabled him to now go out to the garden. It’s so sturdy it doesn’t move and doesn’t get slippery when it rains. To be honest we keep the step down all the time and it’s now so easy for myself and my partner to use. No more straining the knees! Can’t rate it high enough and wished we had got one sooner!
