YamamotoyamaKizami Nori, 3.52 Ounce

I’m somewhat of a kizami nori snob, I don’t favor the ones that are too thick and unroasted. These are delicate and thin and have the perfect nutty seaweed flavor to add to a variety of dishes. My favorite one so far. Highly recommend.

The quality of the seaweed is fine but this is not what I was looking for. I wanted the extra fine nori that I see sprinkled on top of noodles and donburi at restaurants. This is much coarser and I can find this type at any Asian market.

In my opinion, this is the best of the kizami nori offered at Amazon. It tastes and smells of the sea and coupled with soy sauce or even balsamic vinegar, lends an umami kick to just about everything from grains to noodles, eggs, veggies, soup, etc. It's definitely not fishy, and its texture is very fine and almost melts in your mouth. It's subtle tasting yet really adds a sublime flavor that's hard to describe, and I use it for almost everything, not just Asian cuisine. Not seasoned or spicy, no MSG, and low in sodium It lasts a fairly long time so to me the price is reasonable. I would buy this again.
