just needed this old laptop to run one more time so it was worth the expense.

I put the battery in and pressed the on button and I have a working laptop again just like that. took a little bit longer than I wanted to get here but only like 5 days so not too bad. hopefully all stays well and nothing happens to my laptop like one of the pictures I saw. It was 87% charged when I turned my laptop on. no more battery error screen when I turn it on just all around a very happy person right now. super cheap compared to the battery sold from dell.

I was really concerned if it was my laptop battery that was bad and didn't want to waste money but took the chance and it was the battery, It doesn't last long because i have a 17 inch and amd hot processor but it works about 1 and a half hours on a full charge normal use

<Edit 10/7/2017. I had rated this a 4 due to unknown factors.> This battery was working very well on my Dell Inspiron model yet I forgot to turn my surge protector on and didn't realize it. My Dell isn't recharging, probably from being "shocked" at some point, but my batteries STAY Charged as long as I have them plugged in. So I guess it is recharging but will no increase in charge. I expect it is fixable because it comes and goes like that. These batteries are so economical, it is worth it to me to purchase a new one and once my laptop shows it can increase the charge, I will charge up my extra ones and save for a rainy day, so to speak.

I left my laptop unplugged for a few weeks and the battery will not charge and the laptop wont boot with it plugged in.I'd give it a 1 but neglect is partly my own, though the original battery that came with this laptop would function even in a similar state... but I recycled it so now I cant bump my power cord if I use it.Either way, my fault for going cheap. This battery gave about 3 hours of continuous screen and video playback before it quit working.

Just got this, so no idea as to it's long term viability. It does fit the dell perfectly, was pretty inexpensive and so far, it's lasting around 1.5 hrs, I haven't pushed it much past that yet.

This battery has lasted 5mo on a laptop that’s hardly ever used.

As the headline states... it's an affordable battery. I don't expect it to last as long as the original but for the price if I can get a couple years out of it I'll be happy.
