The Art of Invincible Season 1

This show is incredible, I love it dearly. The art book is a must for fans. It’s so fun seeing the preliminary sketches that animators worked on!

A very concise book into how Kirkman's book was translated into a new medium. Why certain decisions were made. Very insightful.

This book is way larger than I expected, if you're expecting a picture book it's more like a vinyl record and the length of a novel. That being said nearly every page is packed full of commentary, sketches, designs, and more. There are these 2 page spreads with backgrounds from the show showing how truly beautiful they are. If you are an invincible fan I promise this is one of the best pieces of merchandise out there!

There are many drawings of characters and expressions as well as episode thumbnails. Some of the background drawings have more detail than I remember in the show. There is not as much commentary (many pages of artwork with barely any words). I just noticed the pattern inside the cover as well which is a pile of viltrumites. Overall very worth the $30 price for a hardcover artbook.

I loved the show and loved the comics even more so it was a not even a question buying it. I am really happy with the product overall, it's a high quality hard cover with high quality paper and the book itself is very entertaining and informative.
