I thought I was buying wooden embroidery hoops as usual.....so when I saw these were plastic, I was disappointed at first.But, when I used one of these hoops for the first time, I was impressed! I really like that each hoop have a channel or a corresponding ridge that fit together snugly before tightening the screw on the outer hoop (as many other hoops only have).I like to reduce my use of plastics, but I'll be using this embroidery hoop set " forever".I would definitely suggest this set of embroidery hoops to other stitchers!Also a great price, good packing, & speedy shipping.

Theses hoops are sturdy and easy to use. The added bonus of needles is wonderful. Who doesn't always need a needle? And the price is a bargain!

I was disappointed when I opened the package to discover that these were plastic. In the description of color it said wood. it wasn’t actually untrue, however, nowhere in the description did it specify “plastic”

So I just got into embroidery by hand over Christmas, and these have been a lifesaver. I use the smallest hoop the most because apparently I love making tiny projects. But anyone who loves to do any kind of needle work should have this set of hoops. It's a good staple for anyone either just starting or who has been doing it for a while.
