Wicked North Alabama

I was disappointed that there was not more to the book, in other words more stories. That was quite a bit to pay for such a small, paperback book. Also, there was a big error in the story on Johnny Beecher. The name of the store mentioned was not Cableton's, it was Caperton's. I was about 12 years old when this event took place and also I live in the community in which it happened. She told the story quite well otherwise. It was a horrifying experience. The book was just too expensive.

I heard about this book from my cousin. My mother is Judy Black Alter and I liked what the author had to say about my mothers' death. My only problem is that I would like to talk to her.... the author that is. My mothers murder has never gone to trial, and I realize that the person who most likely committed the crime is dead, but I would like to know for sure who took her away. Perhaps the author could help me and my siblings with this.

I really enjoyed this book and, being from North Alabama, I was aware of several of the incidents mentioned in the book and feel that the author was very factual in her accounts. This is a book I couldn't put down and finished in a couple of nights. The only fault that I could find with this book is not enough pictures.

I heard about this book when I went on a ghost tour in Huntsville, Alabama. I feel that this author did a great job of telling interesting stories about different people from Alabama. I felt as if I actually knew the characters be the end of each story. I also liked that she made each story brief so that they were the perfect length to read while waiting for an appointment or anyother time when you might just need to pass a few minutes with a good story.

Jacque does an amazing job telling wonderful stories from this part of Al. She has a great way to make them funny, suspenseful, and just plain interesting.I Would highly recommend this book, it is a very easy read too. I'm not a reader but I really enjoyed this book.
