Q: I am sick and tired of having to ask this question here on amazon but here i go again, where is this made? is it made in the United States?

Mine says it's "Made in U.S.A." on the case.

Q: Are the numbers laser etched?

I don't know about laser etched but if it helps, the graduation lines and numbers are almost smooth but if you run your fingernail across them you can barely feel the indentations in the rule. Compared to the Swanson combination square I have they are noticeably smoother.

Q: What does the designation "FB" signify in the item number 7118-012FB? Refurbished? Not listed in PEC's catalog.

This the part number for the new set with the reversing protractor. It is in the wholesale price sheet provided to resellers. if there are further question pleas call PEC directly and they with answer.
