This is my daily pomade. Keeps hair in check and the castor oil reduces hair loss, a bit. Highly recommend, not too shiny gloss and scent less.

My husband has long hair on top and this is perfect- he even refuses to use other brands like Aveda, redken or the like.

Very good hold but extremely shiny. Gives you a 50s greaser look. Not exactly for the "messy" look, this is definitely meant to be combed down so you have a badass, slicked back hairdo like a greaser in West Side Story.The smell is very strong, it reminds me of a generic chemical solvent like isopropyl alcohol mixed with ammonia and mineral spirits. The hair gel is the only one I've ever known where it's smell gets stronger as it dries. You basically smell like a room that's been really painted with an oil based paint & catpiss. Thankfully you only need the bare minimum of product.A golf ball sized amount of product, rubbed between the palms of your hands until fully warmed and melted, can then be rubbed into your hair thoroughly. It may seem like a lot but this increases volume of hair and thickness. After it's rubbed in really well, take a comb & scrape it along your scalp and through your hair. This will firmly plant your hair against your scalp and when it sets you'll have an epoxy resin like hardened skull cap that will protect you from weather like softball sized hail, falling bricks or other materials that may fall on your head. You can also do the messy look or spiked look. Generally speaking that's dangerous to low flying birds and insects that may land on your head, as they'll likely be impaled.Washing the compound off requires little more than some gasoline or kerosene to soak and then a good scrub with borax and then rinse with sparkling mineral water to neutralize the acidity.Wonderful product!
