I am sorry but you can not purchase a replacement pole seperately.

Q: Anyone have a good method to keep it from shaking so much?

My setup doesn't shake at all.... everything is very rigid.

Q: Does the clamp have mroe holes for desks with increased thickness?

Yes, apperantly there are more holes to accomodate thicker desks.... I'm not gonna take mine apart, because it's currently holding 2 monitors. But I can see the backside of the bracket and there is another set of holes to adjust the clamp screw fixture.

Q: What is the width or diameter of the pole?

Hello.... the pole diameter is 1.25 inches. Hope this helps.
