Take your time!
Product was great and worked as Epoxy should. This was my first time with Epoxy so I will share my experience to help the next victim :)Crafted 2 end tables and wanted to inlay a picture below the epoxy, Watched several videos and read how to's on it.Tips:CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN area dust will kill you. ( did mine in garage with door open, don't do that)Prep, MUST do a seal coat, I read this and thought ehh, I prepped the wood enough and skiped this. Lead to many air bubbles. DO SEAL COAT! I fought bubbles for about an hour while top layer dried. Then they were stuck under top coat and it looked bad.I poured mine about 3" thick. do not attempt to do all at once. I did and it was a mistake. DO LAYERS!!But if you are like me and rush, do not worry. I watched a video did did as instructed.Took 80 grit sand paper and sanded it down a bit. It will look scratched and cloudy as heck. Don't worry!!Then took my Dremel and carved out the air bubbles! ( I know it sounded crazy to me as well)Then did a poor very thin and fast. It looks like glass and all air bubbles are gone!Loved how they turned out for my first time,If you take one thing away from my review, let it be to pour thin multiple layers!!

Great product- follow directions!
After being motivated by many YouTube videos, I decided to take a stab at resin art and started off by ordering this product. After reading a few reviews, I realize a lot of frustration could be stemmed by reading and following the directions very carefully. Whether it's for art or coating a tabletop, always make sure to:- wear gloves. this stuff gets super sticky and will get everywhere- make sure whatever you're coating is lined with wax paper or newspaper or anything to catch the resin. once it hardens, it will become difficult to remove!- always mix a 1:1 ratio and use a measuring cup. please do not eyeball it, otherwise it will not cure properly and you will be left with a tacky and sticky unfinished project (I learned the hard way)- make sure it's a thorough mix as well! I used a popsicle stick and made sure that I got the bottoms and the sides- you have a limited window to work with the resin once it's mixed. have a plan beforehand of what you want to accomplish- don't worry if you have bubbles. continue working against that limited window, and a quick flash of the blow torch or heat gun will remove the bubbles- since I used mine as an art project, I needed to make sure my canvas was elevated (with the help of cups) so the resin dripped off the sides. and I also made sure to rub in the edges before it fully cured.I'll definitely be ordering more of this product!

Worked great!
I put off buying epoxy after hearing numerous horror stories and seeing some firsthand mess ups (bubbles galore, sticky finishes, etc...). After putting about 15 coats of polycrylic on my slightly uneven tabletop (ripped and stained 2x4s so I couldn't sand it smooth) I still wasn't satisfied. There are 99 pieces in my tabletop and I didn't want to mess up. After watching numerous videos numerous times I finally got the nerve to try epoxy and for a first timer it came out great! The key for me was to make sure to have equal parts of each and to mix it together for a full 5 plus minutes. I used a one gallon metal paint stir stick (one that looks like it has a propeller on the end) and used a cordless drill on the lowest setting so I wouldn't get even more bubbles than there already were. Once applied I used a heat gun to get rid of the bubbles. Photo attached.

First time user here, I read the instructions and my product came out perfect. They provide you with a chart of how much resin you need for certain area sizes but if you're doing a flood coat (like covering bottle caps) you will need much more than stated.

Very nice product, but scratches easily
I used this to finish a distressed wood top I made for my kitchen island. I originally used urethane, but there were too many cracks & crevices and my wife said it would be too hard to keep clean. So I scratched up the surface with 220 grit sandpaper and used epoxy to put a nice smooth surface on it. The product covered the urethane with no trouble at all.I had previously used JB Weld premium liquid epoxy with terrible results on a previous job - the finish turned milky as it cured and the piece was ruined. Not sure what went wrong as the instructions were minimal. Due to the great reviews and reasonable price I decided to try this Crystal Clear epoxy resin. The instructions were great. They were very detailed with lots of tips to get great results and much better than the worthless instructions that came with the JB Weld product. The finish came out very nice and my wife is happy! I only gave it 4 stars because the finish scratches easily. We've only used the island top a few weeks and there are already scratches and scuffs, despite using reasonable caution. After I used this product I realized that the same company makes a similar epoxy for Table Tops that is supposed to be harder. If I get too many scratches I may go for another coat of the Table Top version to see if it's more durable.

Worth every penny. Easy to use!
Novice resin user. But this stuff is easy to work with. Simply follow the easy instructions. It's pricier then most bitcive tried cheaper brands and they are sub par.

Good stuff
I have already used most of the gallon and will be ordering more. If its mixed to equal ratio's and stirred for the time it says I have not had any problems.
