Suprisingly straightforward and great results
The first time I've used henna, or any dye to colour my beard. Obviously I had some reservations - would it turn my face brown? Why is the powder green? I have light brown colouring so a mixed a small amount of henna with 30% of Indigo powder provided (this is actually the pictured green powder) the indigo essentially darkens the naturally copper coloured henna. I applied it and left it on for 3 hours. I used a bit of red bush tea I was drinking to mush it up - just as it says to use tea or coffee - guess it doesn't hurt to add some extra brown in there. Very impressed how easy and well it turned out - my face wasn't brown at all, but the grey has gone. It's nice.

Easy to use with amazing results.
I am a auburn brunette with about 20% grey hair.I normally use Lush's henna bar - which take a lot of time to prepare. These powders were a lot easier to use. I mixed 2 henna, to 1 indigo. I mixed it directly in a cup of strong (hot) brewed coffee.I also boiled a berries/hibiscus tea bag until reduced and added 2 teaspoons of honey.Put the mixture on dry hair. Wrapped it in cling film and left it for 3 hours. This was so much easier to wash out (compared to lush). Smell was neutral. Results were a dark auburn, gray hairs look like subtle highlights and my hair has an amazing sheen.Highly recommended.Prep time: 10 minutes.Leave in: 3 hours.Grey hair covered to point where they look like red highlights - No orange tinge.

Fantastic henna, indigo didn't work this good
The henna works easily and very beautiful colour, I've combined with ready lemon juice and left overnight before using. Indigo didn't have the same impression, colour didn't work the same for me, my whites are covered and I'm happy, but all red. I used 50/50 and amla, next time maybe should use more.

DIDNT WORK. Utter disappointment
I bought this product based on countless reviews and research. I followed the instructions and was left soooo upset when it came to washing it out. MY HAIR HAS NOT CHANGED AT ALL.Left the henna overnight. Left on hair for 3hours and 30 mins wrapped in cling film and 3 plastic bags. I didnt opt for overnight because I always catch colds when I do processes like that and apparently all the henna teachers say that henna has a peak time and overnight doesnt make the dye stronger. The last time I was this upset was when I was denied a promotion. This wasted 2 days of my life, cancelled swimming and all of that bathroom mess and I HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT.

Great product
Been using this henna for years now, it's consistently good. I never follow any instructions, but just add approx 50g henna with, if I have it, 20g indigo and/or 20g manjista and/or hibiscus (varying quantities, but henna in majority), then add weak lukewarm coffee to make a yoghurt consistency paste. Leave it stand for about 30mins and slop it all over my hair. Chuck a bag over it and have it on for about 2-3 hours (depending on how much time I have). Rinse, wash and condition. Done. Gives a lovely auburn colour and covers grey hairs very well. It's good practice to cover the skin close to the hairline with vaseline, as this will make it easier to clean and prevent staining. Overall, very good product, just takes some practice if you're new to henna.

plentiful
Wow you get a lot for your money, I use it to dye my beard. Previously bought a different brand but this contains twice as much for less money and due to the 50/50 mix I only need to leave it on for half an hour instead of the hour I used to have to leave it with the previous brand. I find one heaped table spoon of each of the powders is more than enough to dye a full beard. Great purchase.
