Old School Magneto!
I am one of those guys who collects figures. I own several different brands of these high quality, extremely detailed figures soooooo I know what I'm talking about, you can trust me.Marvel Select, or Diamond Select, is an awesome brand of figures, that are not only high quality, but also affordable. (in comparison to other companies such as Figma, Revoltech, SH Figuarts, etc)This is a review for Marvel Select's Magneto. He is my favorite character in X-men. I always like the villains more than the heroes... (I'm not the only one right?) This is the old school Magneto from when I was a little boy. Clad in this signature red and purple suit, flowing cape, and even his awesome helmet. The helmet isn't removable, and there is a variate figure of Magneto without his Helmet where you can see his white hair. If you as me, they should have included both heads and made them swappable, just like Cyclopes comes with one head with a visor and one with glasses. I wish his cape was removable because it sometime gets in the way of his arms, however so do his muscles... removable muscles? no....He comes with an amazing stand that depicts some rubble of the demolished Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. There's even an arm or a fallen X-men Collosus. Nice touch, Marvel Select, nice touch. If you collect Marvel Figures of X-men figures, you cannot be with out this one. the greatest villain of all time Master of Magnetism, Magneto.

My blood must have high iron, 'cause I was uncontrollably drawn to this Magneto figurine
I'm not the kind of guy to buy action figures--movies, t-shirts to wear around the house, a couple of graphic novels, yeah. I have a calendar of vintage Marvel covers in my office. When my office got repainted/furnished, I decided to frame a few and hang them up. Then I remembered one of my designers used to have a big Hellboy figure that looked cool, so I decided to check out some figures to go with the covers. This Magneto really exceeded expectations. For $20? Worth every penny. The detail (like Colossus' arm in the rubble), the quality, the scale. Very cool, especially sitting beneath a framed copy of X-men #4. It has brought the closet-geeks out in droves and yielded a ten-fold reduction in suck-factor to my corporate work-space. I just ordered the Marvel Select Spidey/Green Goblin from #39 to go with Amazing Spider-Man #122.

Magneto is represented well here.
Magneto is one of my favorite characters from the X-men, and this figure is a great way to display him. I do emphasize the word DISPLAY. Playing with this toy as an action figure, probably wouldn;t be the best, but if you want this for a display piece, this is a fantastic figure. It's detail is very well done, the painting is well done, and it is a great visual representation of Magneto.I recommend this product for those wanting to display this figure, not so much for those buying this for their kid to play with. You are much better suited going with a smaller more posable and articulate figure than this one. As someone who is just using it to display on a shelf, I am very satisfied!

Despite a Few Flaws, This is a Great Figure!
This is an awesome sculpt of Magneto. As far as articulation goes, Magneto is pretty limited, but he's of the Diamond Select line, so He's not supposed to move much. When it arrived in the mail, his legs were a bit bowed from sitting in the heat for too long, and I had to remove him from the package carefully. Also, it's neigh impossible for him to stand without his base since his cape is so heavy, it throws his central balance off, which is disappointing because I'm not a fan of bases for figures, but I have to use it on this Magneto since he won't stand on his own without support for long. All that aside it's a great sculpt with great attention to detail! You can even see Magneto's grey hair if you look under his helmet at a certain angle. If you don't mind the base, and want a high quality Magneto for a fair price, then pick this one up!

Great Value
Great sculpt, solid articulation, and good detail. I was kinda worried about the face, but the paint application is really well done. The base that it comes with might be my favorite part.

What I expected/ box could arrive damaged.
I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loved adding it to his growing collection. My only complaint is that the box was pretty beat up on arrival. The product is exactly what I was expecting, but the packaging wasn't so great.Update: I eventually ordered another one and the box was perfect when it arrived. We opened the first one that came with a damaged box. The actual figure seems alright...I'm no expert. My only complaint is that we have trouble balancing him on the stand because there is only 1 peg for his foot, so the other foot won't stay in place. Because of this, you have to balance him a little. The cape is a rubbery material that is flexible.

Amazing
Magneto is 10/10. Taller than expected, beautiful paint and well-crafted. He was packaged well and comes with a really cool stand. This is a gift for my girlfriend, so I haven't been able to take him out of the package, but from the way everything looks this is a crazy good deal for only 20 bucks. Going straight to Diamond Select for any future action figure purchases.
