Stays hot for a while after you shut it down. Great convenience, a fair price, packaged good, looks pretty & works well. Doesn't break down like the cheaper ones do.

This is my first review I am writing because OMG best purchase I have made so far on Amazon! I’m not EVEN KIDDING you when I say that this product works marvelously for me. I live in a studio with NO KITCHEN. I was hesitant @ first to buy because some of the reviews but Im so glad I did. It heats up really fast , you can use both @ the same time, & it cooks your food fast! I have made breakfast and dinner including pastas, eggs, soups, and I even cooked a big juicy steak! It really does the job if you don’t have a kitchen to make yourself a nice home hooked meal.BEWARE tho: after unplugging the hot plate, it remains very hot for a good 10-20 minutes so just be careful to not store it right away or accidentally touch it.I’ve had it for about 1 month now and no problems so I will be back to update if anything changes but I’m really crossing my fingers it remains doing it’s job :)UPDATE JULY 17, 2021Y’all, the hot plates are still up and cooking everything I need :)

Like I said in the title. Only Con is regulating the proper heating level.

I bought a second one of these hotplates for use in dyeing yarn (the dye must be heat set). They are durable and have held up great. Another plus is the location of the control knobs. They are down far enough that you can place a large pot on the cooktop and the knobs are not in the way as they are on some other small cooktops.

It takes along time to heat up, especially something like oil, though once heated works pretty well. I use it in my outdoor kitchen and used both burners the other day when I didn’t need to boil for very long and both worked well.

I live full time in my motor home in the mobile/camping area. Can use gas only electricity. Works for me.

The cast-iron plates take a bit of time to heat up. Once they do you can Sierra steak or cook whatever you want. Remember it’s electric so it takes a bit to get used to how it works over let’s say a gas stove

The hot plate has no power or heat. Unfortunately, we bought it for camping, so we didn't realize the terrible functionality until we used it, but the return window had already passed.We'd give it negative stars for heat output if we could.
