A chiropractor recommended this supplement to me several years ago and I have taken it ever since. It provides me with the calcium I need for my osteopenia. Other calcium supplements have caused constipation but this product does not.

After watching my mother suffer from the effects of osteoporosis, I recently started thinking I should start taking calcium supplements in order to avoid the same fate. The upside is that these are legitimately made in the USA, so they should be safe to take. They don't have any aftertaste or irritate my reflux, which is also good. The downside is that the pills are quite large; not so much in length as in width, so you don't realize how large they are until you have it in your mouth. I had thought about suggesting them to my mother, but she has mild swallowing issues at times and I'm concerned she'd choke on it.

The “go to” standard prescription medicine for osteoporosis will affect my gut health and the proton pump inhibitor prescriptions for GERD will impact calcium absorption in the intestines and make my osteoporosis worse!I have tried many other calcium base supplements to improve my calcium absorption, but unfortunately, a lot of them have given me the unpleasant side effect of indigestion and an upset stomach (probably due to my GERD).I took a chance and decided I wanted to try Osteo-Plex since it has been formulated with four types of calcium, along with vitamins C and D, magnesium, manganese, silicon and some other vitamins and minerals to provide best way to direct the calcium where it is needed - in my gut where the best absorption takes place!I received the supplement on January 10 and I’ve been on it for three weeks - the first week I took was only one tablet per day, and I worked myself up to three tablets that I take with my dinner time meal. I am happy to report so far no stomach upset. Tablets are not too large and they’re easy to swallow.Pros: four different types of calcium, along with vitamin C and vitamin D, magnesium and manganese; easy to swallow, no upset, stomach or intestinal irritation.Cons: None except one not related to the actual supplement. I wish the vendor’s label did not cover over part of the supplement milligram listing and the expiration date - their label could’ve been moved over another inch to the right. I included a video that shows that label.

As an "older woman" I am looking for anything that will prevent or delay Osteoporosis. These tablets contain natural ingredients including 4 forms of calcium which is good. The tabs are fairly large and have a "serving size" of 4 tablets. That is a lot of swallowing. Product is advertised as "Made in the USA." While I do need and take calcium which, in general, FOR ME is hard to swallow having to take 4 tablets each day is a bit of a turn off.
