SILKY SMOOTH FLAVOR OF THE COLD BREW MAKES MY MORINGS MAGICAL.
You know that feeling when you get the first sip of a coffee and it hits the high notes of happiness..that silky smooth creamy velvety flavor that comes form heaven.. This is how it tastes like..I can't vouch for the hot brew because I gave it up long ago but I can assure you that this is an ideal choice for the cold brew method. If you are cold brew pro and just looking for a new beans to try, go for it. It is perfect. I went through about 30 different brands and roasts and nothing comes close. When I tried this coffee I knew I arrived home. It is perfect. Ideal. An ultimate perfection. Word of caution, do play with the strength becauseit has a lot of punch. I noticed that while I like it pretty strong, I can crank down few notches to have strong but not more then needed so that way I use less coffee, intake less caffeine which in my case is not something that I am after (I can totally do without an caffeine, I drink coffee for flavor not for a kick but this coffee has plenty of kick so harness it wisely).Anyhow..FOR THOSE WHO ARE NEW TO A WHOLE COLD BREWING BUSINESS AND WANT EASY AND FOOL PROOF SYSTEM AND DON'T KNOW W HERE TO STARAT i CAN SHARE MY EXPERIENCE AND TIPS..1. I tried many different beans and many different systems and I finally settled for THIS coffee hereand this brewing jar here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08NWHFX2S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1It just works, it worked from day one, try one and so I could take it from there but there was NO disappointments or frustrations. There is only one thing that I modified within the system. I don't likethe inserts in the coffee carafes, I am the fan of original cold brew system that means simply to dumpcoarsely grinned coffee and then add cold water and time. That is that.So I eliminate the insert entirely. I simply dump a coffee straight into the jar, but .. I use the insert that came with the jar to measure the right amount of coffee. I fill it with the dry coffee straight from the bagup to the level that you would fill it to insert into the jar.. and then simply I empty it into the jar. Then I add water all the way to the top JUST SO.. it does not touch the plastic cover. I leave about half inchand that is that.I mix it with a wooden spoon that I got from IKEA for couple bucks and cover it with the lid and into the fridge it goes. Let it sit overnight, Ideally get it going around 6pmish or no later then 9 and thenI usually stop the brew at around 3PM.. if you do it eelier it is bit weaker if you wait longer it becomes too stung and bit bitter... so if I were you I would do few trials to pinpoint the moment. You can do 24 hoursbut you can get away with 14.. or 18.. so try whatever fits your fancy. I would say start less and build on it rather then do too much and get disappointed. My first coffee was brewed from 6 pm to 3 pm next day and was really great... my next coffee was from 9pm to 3 pm and was just as great :)...At prescribed or choosen time, just get the jar out, get the coffee out, and then filter it with the coffee filter back into the jar, I have some old system that is pour over with silver strainer and I Just dump thepaper filter into it and there we go.. It goes fast.So there you have it.. Perfectly brewed coffee. From this, I get a cup of a cold brew, put it into the pot, add twice the amount of water and let itwarm to the point that is close to boiling but does not quite boil. In other words, just when it is very hot and steamy but not boiling. If you add a half and half to it.. and brown sugar.. it tastes about like the best coffee ice cream you ever had but it is also a coffee and a divine one to that. Here comes the best part: Once you will make your pot of your coffee essence, you can use it for up to 10 days. Yes. No daily brewing. Whenever you want your ice or hot coffee, just grab the jar from the fridge, and dilute it in one to two proportion. one part coffee, two parts water and heat it up or drink cold. For ice coffee you don't have to dilute as much as ice will dissolve.I wanted to recommend you to use a bottled or filtered water for the brew. I would not use the municipal water as it always smells like a lake water or some purifying chems. so best is to get filtered or bottled for this purpose.Gevalia has been on the market for decades, it is a coffee from Sweden and they are supplier to the Swedish crown. So you can trust their sources and quality. They know how to make coffee. It is pretty amazing how good their coffee is. They source the best beans from the right sources and the result is just divine.A closing bonus tip.. I got glass cups especially to my cold brew and it just make them taste even better..https://www.amazon.com/JoyJolt-Declan-Coffee-Handles-Beverages/dp/B07XF5H9MJ/ref=sr_1_17?dchild=1&keywords=gevalia+coffee+porcelain+cup+mug&qid=1633828134&sr=8-17

Great coffee, bad shipping
Great coffee. Smooth and rich. My favorite. Very unhappy about the condition in which it arrived. Bags were all wadded and bunched up. Like someone did it on purpose. Maybe the new saying will be "going Amazon" instead of "going postal".

Coffee
Our favorite coffee. Wonderful smell, good coffee flavor, no bitterness. I do wish it was still sold in the large tin can.

It’s tough to find a decent tasting decaf. This one is pretty good!
I like the taste, and I like the price. If I had any complaint, it be that it is ground very fine and if you put very much of it in your filter, it has a tendency to make the water back up a little bit if your coffee maker is one to drip rather rapidly. But maybe that’s what it takes to make it taste good!

Best coffee ever
Best coffee in the world. It never gets acidic at the end of the pot, so its never bitter.

Consistently good enough and better than the rest
I’ve tried all the pods everything’s in experiment and a taste test for me and I always come back to the Gevalia pods. Consistently good enough for coffee in a pod and convenient, always with a slight hesitation due to waste created by my use of, but alas, apathy wins out.
