These are the best fine pens anywhere. Love the quality, smoothness, and how easy it is to write well with these pens, I have since brought 3 more sets :)

You won't find anything better.
Controversial title perhaps (people take their pens very seriously), but I don't care. I have been using Zebra F301s since 2005. As the ink cartidges are easily replacable, I still HAVE and USE some of my original set. From 2005. They are indistinguishable from my newer ones except that the logo has worn off slightly from use over the last 19 years. I have never encountered anything with such consistent quality in my life (I'm 35). It's especially notable considering the way most companies are "cutting costs" by destroying the quality of their products in the last few years. ZF301s aren't the most affordable pens you can get, but they last forever. Once you have a stockpile of the pen bodies (which you can do over time), you can just keep refilling them. Literally for decades.I have used these pens to hand-write an entire college degree worth of notes. I have used them to write several books. I have used them on three continents in fairly extreme conditions. They have never failed me. The only reason I have ever had to buy more is that I occasionally lose them. Because I have taken them everywhere with me for nearly 20 years.I am a life-long avid journaler, and I write every day. ZF301s have enabled me to do that for decades without injury (despite joint issues) because they write so smoothly and are so comfortable to hold. It's truly effortless. They are very, very good for people who find they think faster than their hand can write. These'll get you pretty damn close. They are also very easy to refill. They come apart and go back together simply, so it only takes a few seconds to replace the ink. I greatly appreciate not having to send an entire pen to a landfill every 8-12 weeks (the ink cartridges last a long time). While this is a great feature, it is also the source of the only remotely negative thing I can say about Zebra F301s. The quality of the ink refills is sadly not as consistent as the quality of the pens themselves. Sometimes they're perfect – like it never needed replaced at all. Sometimes they're terrible. Dry, with abysmal ink flow. It's only happened to me a couple times, but when you buy a 12 PACK, it's frustrating. I realize that's a different product, but it IS part of the experience of using these.

Love the Pens!
First of all, I love that they are obvious quality when you look at them. The stainless steel of this pen makes all the difference in the world. They even sell refills for this pen, so you don’t have to throw it away like a lot of plastic pens, I got fine tip, and I just ordered my second batch of them. They are totally worth the money. The flow is fine. They don’t smear. They are comfortable to use. And I end up giving them to my friends, and that’s one reason I order more. Try these out, and see what you think! They are the best I have received from Amazon. Also, they didn’t ask me to test them out or anything like that. I found them in a search for a good pen, and these are the winners.kkp

Nice, smooth lines
I'm a multi-media artist and use all types of pens and markers in my art. These pens work so nicely in my art for fine lines that are smooth and even. The pens don't leave "blobs" of ink like some ballpoints do. They fit comfortably in my hand, and my hand doesn't tire when using the Zebra Pen for long lengths of time. The pens seem to be well made, have a nice retractable spring action, made of stainless steel, and are good looking.

Good Office Supply
These are a nice pen. The tip is a tiny bit wider than I expected. Also the feel in the hand is light but it is a bit thin so i do not write as long. Decent pen.

Excellent Pens....with one criticism on durability
After reading several reviews here, I was reminded of all the things I like about Zebra pens. They have been my go-to pens for the last 6 years at least. They are very comfortable to write with, smooth writing, attractive looking, and more.My one gripe....they are not very durable in part of their design. The barrel is a very nice stainless steel, however my criticism is in regard to the construction of the black plastic that screws into the stainless body. On nearly every one of the Zebras I've owned, the part of the plastic that threads into the body eventually cracks and breaks. Meaning, the pen becomes unusable without taping the pieces together. For a pen that is meant to be refilled, this is a serious flaw in my mind. I buy the ink refills, but I have never gotten more than 2 refills out of a pen before it breaks. I tend to fidget with my pens, which means some unnecessary un/screwing of the pen, but even without that, I usually find the pen loosens with writing, meaning I often have to retighten it and I would venture to guess it is tightening the plastic against metal that breaks it.By all means, don't let this keep you from buying these pens. They are still good. Just be aware they may not last you as long as you might hope.Zebra, if you could fix this construction flaw, I would give a 5-star rating without a second thought. However, a pen that is advertised as durable and refillable, yet can't seem to handle a refill or two before breakage, is a big weakness (and I take good care of my pens!).Update (5/15/21)I went to Zebra's website where they have the following under their "Contact Us" tab:"Zebra Pen Corp. offers a limited lifetime warranty and guarantees the performance of our writing instruments. If it fails to perform properly, please contact us for repair or replacement. This warranty is void in the event of abuse, or physical damage unrelated to the purchase and/or function of the pen. Service is subject to our discretion."I contacted them and within a couple days, someone had gotten back to me and said they would send a replacement!Still an issue with their pens' design in my opinion, but I'll up my rating to 5-stars for good customer service and standing by their warranty.
