IRWINVISE-GRIP Cable Cutting Pliers, 8”/200mm, 10505518

I'm in the process of restoring an old car and have found that some of my tools are worn out - especially my wire cutters. Yesterday I was rewiring the rear tailgate and removing some dubious splicing. My old snis were awful and struggled cutting through 1mm copper cable. I ordered these just before midnight and they arrived within 12hrs! They are solid, good quality and i've already tested them.. they cut effortlessly and very cleanly through cables of various sizes. I'm really impressed and have no doubt they will be great for what I need. Great quality at an excellent price... arrived sooner than expected .

Very sharp cutters and very good for cutting most electrical cable. My only gripe would be that they are very difficult to use one handed i.e. the handles are so long in relation to the cutting head that you have to use two hands to open the jaws wide enough to accept the cable. I'm an average sized bloke with average sized hands so I'm guessing this would be an issue for all but the biggest hands. By way of comparison, at the same time as purchasing these I also bought the matching side cutters and they fit my hand perfectly.That said, these do go through cable like a knife through butter.

good quality, cuts well

These are very good cable cutters. The are very sharp and cut through 2.5mm t&e with no problem. They are very good for stripping the outer insulation but you have to be careful as they are so sharp that its easy to cut straight through the cable. They are not expensive, well built and I feel these will last me quite a while.

I really like this tool. Previously I had been using some cheap little wire cutters and wire strippers that struggled to get through the wire.These things breeze straight through with little force and have a smaller section which makes stripping the end of the wire easy. I have replaced 2 tools with this 1 and am very very happy with my purchase.

Used these to cut bicycle brake cables and cable housing and was really impressed at first as it took no effort whatsoever. I also had to cut a wire coat hanger which it did well. I then noticed, however, that the edge looked quite battered after using it literally a couple times. I am not sure what material this tool is made of, but it must be either Edamer or Gouda!UPDATE: Description says copper or aluminum. My bad for not reading the description thoroughly.

Purchased to cut inner and outer brake and gear cables on my bike. They arrived quickly and I was impressed how heavy and sturdy they felt. First use was on an outer cable, and I was nervous they might crush it - no problem, quick neat cut, same for inner cables. I even had to shorted some older rusty outer cable covers, and no problems with these either.Did the job!
