Iron review
Recently just purchased this iron. I have only used it a few times but I must say it has great temperature control, it's lightweight to use. Plus purchased it when it was in offer, which made it better as its a good quality iron!

It’s an iron it’s hard to get inspired by that
It gets hot quickly and occasionally requires water as well as electricity which is an unsettling combination but seems to work quite well

Faulty straight out of the box.
In summary I am disappointed with Philips on this one. I have come to expect high standards from the brand, however this had its issues straight out of the box. I have had to return it for a replacement. Seems nothing made in China is made to any quality, this iron continues that trend.Positives:• Easy to fill with wide tank opening.• Nice weight.• Decent cord length.• Good steam function.• Removes creases nicely.• 2 year manufacturer warranty.• Quick to heat up.Negatives:• Made in China• Poor instructions with hardly any written text. Just awkward to decipher pictures.• Poor quality control. Faulty straight out of the box with a squirt function that was defective.• No clip to hold the cord when bound around the base.• No auto shut off.• Single use plastics used in packaging.• Doesn’t glide as nicely as a stainless steel based iron.

User Manual could be improved but otherwise fine
My wife needed a replacement when her old one packed in.As she prefers to use a spray rather than steam this facility was not important and will not be used.. She has a weak wrist due to a previous fracture so light weight was very desirable and this one being one of the lightest on offer suited her fine. It was also at a very reasonable price.Pity about the useless user manual but otherwise providing it has a reasonable life would recommend.

Very effective iron, great price
Found this iron for under £40 on Amazon and I had already used it before at my partners and found it to be great.It feels heavy which means when you use it, it is really effectiveAt getting rid of stubborn creases!Only negative with the black colour - is you struggle to see where your water levels are if you areOlder likeMe :)But would absolutely recommend this iron!
