Remarkable piece of kit
I was largely sceptical buying network equipment of this nature from a supplier I've never heard of before on the internet. However I took a punt based on the very low cost compared to the traditional network manufacturers and the specifications on offer. I'm glad I did.It comes with everything you need to get it started. This includes the two powerline adaptors and an ethernet cable to connect it to your router. Our apartment's plug layout is universally pretty stupid and so I had to situate the first adapter further away from the router than I'd like with an overly long ethernet cable but it worked immediately. Setting the second up was fairly easy. It registered the network over the wall power cables immediately; cloning the wifi took a little longer as the instructions are slightly different to how you actually use it but I got the hang of it fairly quickly. Taking it into the bedroom a few minutes later, low and behold it works. Some older wifi devices do see two wifi networks rather than the cloned single network but phones etc all see one unified network. I have a PS4 pro in the bedroom connected via ethernet and it's been averaging speeds of nearly 100mbps which is more than adequate for online gaming. Yes, in theory this is a far cry from the 1gbps capacity of the powerline but most internet providers in the UK cannot provide anywhere near that kind of capacity anyway. This device is unobtrusive and easy to use; I only wish it came with a power pass through but for the price I cannot complain.

This is the future of networking - easy and effective
Do not hesitate. It really is plug and play. Take a lan cable from your router and plug it into the master adapter. Plug the master adapter into the wall. Then take the other plugs and plug them in anywhere in the house/office. Turn the power on at the wall. Its done. Your new extended lan and wireless network is visable and available. Try use Cat 7 cables to get the best through put from the router to the master adapter. Realise that you wont get conenctivity nearly as good as from the main router, but it is still good. A working example.... From my router in the living room you will get 200mb. In my master bedroom upstairs and to the right the wireless signall is weak and intermittent. I watch a lot of netflix and amazon prime. Its a drag when the quality goes in and out or when the signal drops. Its a bigger drag to keep reconnecting your TV to the wireless network. Now with this system I put an adapter plug by my TV and connected it via the lan to my TV with a Cat 7 cable. It consistently gives 90mb. Thats great enough for streaming at 4k. Then in my room our phones and tablets connect to the wireless on the adapter, and that consitently gives 47mb. And literally 100% uptime. I used the Ookla speed test on both TV and phone. Just remember, it is an open network so anyone can connect. So if you need to protect bandwidth the only work is to go in an configure the Tenda router with a password for users

Great but not for Gamers
I bought this as I have 1Gbps Fibre from Virgin and I need the fastest connection to my PC. Sadly this delivered less that 150Mbps, look at the reviews now it seems that it is a common problem. Not sure why they advertising it as 1Gbps as I have plugged the adapters into the sockets next to each other and again, didnt get over 150Mbps.We did need the Wifi boosting and for a quick cheap solution this was great. I would get if you are just doing general internet browsing, but for gaming do not recommend at all.I even contacted their support who were great and quick to respond but they just said they didnt know, which wasn't very helpful.Overall, great for the price but not recommended for high levels of streaming, gaming or downloading.

Tenda WiFi Extender & Booster - works with Talktalk
Purchased this as a previous review indicated that it worked with Talktalk whereas some others may not.My normal WiFi signal was poor to the rear of the house.back of the house,The Tenda offers 2 options.:-1 as WiFi booster and 2 as an extender + Booster using the house electrical cabling.Installing the WiFi booster only did not make a great difference to my signal strength.Installing the Extender to the mains with a hard RJ cable connection to the Router and the WiFi booster where I needed the signal boost, the strength is much improved. The included RJ cable to connect extender to router is 2m in length which was not long enough for my installation. I purchased a longer 3m one later. Both items are mains supply so you need a power socket close to the router and obviously one where you wish the booster to be placed. This set up requires an available Ethernet port on the router. If you only use the WiFi booster unit, you can set the password to that of the router the instruction say.If using the Extender feeding the WiFi booster unit, it registers as Tenda equipment so it appears there are 2 router signals, which is awkward. I appear to have managed to default it to Talktalk though, so all good.Good price and has greatly improved my signal greatly.Instructions and diagrams on how to setup included. The WiFi booster unit has Ethernet outlets if required.

Don't waste your time
I bought this product specifically because it has the wifi hotspot function. Installation takes a few minutes, cloning the wifi was easy. I plugged the extender into a wall socket in our basement where my home office is, and had great wifi and hardwired internet speeds. 2 hours later, the wifi speed had dropped to 0.5Mb, so was pointless. A quick reset, and the speed was back up. Same problem happened, after a while the wifi speed dropped to nothing. I persevered, thinking maybe I was expecting too much and the product would sort itself out. After three weeks and having to reset the extender every time I wanted to use it, I gave up. It is as if the product goes to sleep after a while and won't wake up. Customer support is awful, it takes 4 days for a reply and then is pointless and doesn't even address any issues raised in the original email.I returned the items to Amazon, which was probably the best thing of the whole experience. Posted Tuesday, money in my account by Wednesday afternoon. I then bought the TP Link TL-WPA 4220kit and this is working perfectly.
