Amazing Product!
I absolutely cannot believe the difference this cat litter makes. I had been using Arm & Hammer Glide with the addition of half a cup of baking soda every day. (Yes, Really!) I was buying the industrial size box every month. That wouldn't have been so bad if it worked better for longer. So, I wound up cleaning the litter boxes three times a day and still having my nose assaulted. Cats are supposed to be so easy, so much less demanding than dogs. They might get along fine for a couple days on their own, but I was chained to their litter box just to try and keep my entire house from stinking. I thought my next step was going to be a kitty door with an outside totally enclosed play yard to keep the hawks and coyotes at bay. These two kitties were getting mighty expensive. There had to be a better way. So, I started digging. It took two days of searching on Amazon and reading reviews before I decided to try Naturally Fresh Blue. When it arrived I read the bag and wondered. Opened the bag and wondered some more. How can this stuff make much difference. I put some in the litter boxes, basically top dressing the Arm & Hammer Glide and I was instantly shocked. I could no longer even smell the scent of the litter! What??? How can that be? I had only put a scoop of this Naturally Fresh Blue on top of the other, just enough to barely cover the surface.I have to admit that it looked kind of strange, almost like I'd covered the pan with coffee grounds. I could live with that, but what about the cats? Their first reaction was, "What the heck is this stuff?" Then it was, "Hey, I've gotta go!" They both had to give it a try within five minutes. Evidently they weren't totally sold on the idea the first couple days as it looked so different. They would peer into one litter box and then the other. "Yup, that strange stuff is still there..." Then they'd decide that nature was really calling and make use of it. So, we'll just say they were a little hesitant at first. As for me, I was sold immediately. They would use it (check that box) and all hint of there even being litter boxes was totally gone (double check that box).I'm one of those people who scoop the litter boxes once a day. It's just part of my routine. But here's the shocker: When I open the sack that contains even a weeks worth of kitty poop and pee scoopings, there is still absolutely no stink or odor at all! I kid you not! Then consider the fact that I can simply dump it into my flower garden compost without having that mixture turn into a toxic gob of clay. That is a definite positive point as well. If you dump clay litter, even spreading it out over a large area two things happen. 1. You are not helping the composition of the soil so you're creating an ecological desert - even in sandy soils. 2. You are making the ants very happy. If you want to have an ant farm, go for it. If you're not happy having ant hills springing up everywhere, it's NOT the thing to do.So, the bottom line is Naturally Fresh Blue has met or exceeded all my wildest dreams of what cat litter should be. If you're sitting on the fence about trying a different, more home and planet friendly litter, it's time to take the plunge. This stuff is a game changer. The honest truth is that it is as perfect a product as cat litter can possibly be. I'm so glad I took the time, read the reviews and took the chance to try something truly, unbelievably different.

A good savings over time due to much less being used and disposed compared to the clay scoop litter.
I've been using this litter for 4-5 yrs now. It looks like ground coffee but it has saved me money due to how long it last . There is some dust from it, but not as bad as the clay litter I used before and has definitely saved me money in the long run. My cat still track some around somewhat and putting outdoor carpet that looks like short green grass solves much of the tracking issue. I also add and blend in some baking soda which helps eliminate any odors. I'll keep using this as long as it keeps staying available.

Using this litter for 2 years, cats are happy!
We’ve been using Naturally Fresh Walnut Cat Litter for a while now, and it has quickly become the go-to choice for several reasons. Both cats always are happy to use it, bury properly, and the tracking is fairly minimal (with the box in the garage with a kitty trapdoor). As a cat owner, I’m always on the lookout for litter that’s effective, eco-friendly, and gentle on my cats, and this product ticks all those boxes. We put a baggie into a plastic litter container and scoop the hard clumps into the bag for easy disposal.Absorbency & Clumping:One of the best features is its impressive absorbency. The walnut shells are highly absorbent, which means the litter traps moisture quickly. This leads to firm, tight clumps that are easy to scoop out without breaking apart. Cleanup is efficient, and it minimizes the amount of litter needing replacing every 3-4 weeks.Odor Control:Odor control is another strong point for a lot of pet owners. Naturally Fresh litter neutralizes odors effectively without the use of artificial fragrances. It smells a bit woody. I appreciate this because it doesn’t just mask the smell with a strong perfume, but rather absorbs and locks in unpleasant odors, keeping the litter box area smelling fresh longer. Even after a few days, it doesn’t get that strong ammonia smell typical with other litters. We have never noticed a smell.Eco-Friendly & Dust-Free:What sets this litter apart is that it’s made from walnut shells, a renewable and biodegradable resource. It’s also free of silica dust, so there’s no cloud of dust when pouring it into the box or scooping, making it a healthier option for both my cats and us. Plus, it’s gentle on their paws, which I’ve noticed keeps them coming back to the box without hesitation.Tracking & Mess:The one area where Naturally Fresh could improve is tracking. Although it clumps well, I do find some litter scattered outside the box occasionally. It doesn’t track as much as clay litter, but if you have a particularly playful cat, it can still end up around the house. Not too bad, as we only need to worry about sweeping it once a week, give or take. Adding a litter mat can help reduce this issue.Overall, I highly recommend Naturally Fresh Walnut Cat Litter to any cat owner looking for a natural, environmentally friendly, and effective product. It offers excellent absorbency, reliable odor control, and minimal dust. While tracking can be a minor issue, the benefits far outweigh this downside. It’s a great alternative to clay-based litters, especially for those who want a sustainable option that performs well. Our cats are happy and healthy, so we are satisfied!

Decent, natural option
I liked this litter but after awhile the residue is brown, just the dust.

The best
my favorite litter regardless of the couple of cons.Pros: Super gentle on my cats paws. Smells nice, a faint natural smell. Clumps really well. Masks odor well as long as you’re regularly cleaning the box as you should be. I have an xl stainless box and the 26lb bag lasts for two full litter changes.Cons: Super dusty. Tracks a ton.

Not So Fresh
We switched to this litter after a different brand discontinued the version we had been using. I was pleased to find a natural product and our cats accepted the change without a problem. After several weeks using Naturally Fresh I can say that it does not stay naturally fresh! Even though the litter is cleaned daily and the box is wiped out, there is not good odor control with this walnut product. This product doesn't clump well; it remains soft and crumbles when scooping. The litter particles are tiny and do track through the house. Dust is minimal. The search for a better litter will continue.
